- KBKyle Biller4 days ago1.0They told me I need new brakes after I got an oil change. Said they were 85% worn and should do immediately for safety. I went and bought brakes and rotors to do it myself and had 6mm left on the pad. AKA they were 40-50% worn. They are trying to upsell for stuff you don’t need yet to make more money. Scams. It’s a shame.

Due to thinking this was expensive I brought my car to another a shop. Upon inspection from the other shop they noted that the brakes were still measuring great and there is absolutely no reason to replace my brakes at this point.
