Just got my tires replaced & aligned here. The process was straightforward and painless which was much appreciated.
I am SO grateful for the work they did on my car. They work very efficiently and diligently and I was able to leave relatively quickly for the amount of work that was done. Good communication & friendly staff.
I also appreciate that they did not try to sell unnecessary things to me and respected what I asked for.
10/10 experience and will return whenever I need more work done on my car. Thanks so much.

Mavis took care of plugging my tire at no cost. I followed up with an appointment to have new tires installed and a wheel alignment done. Customer service was very friendly and helpful. Wait time was longer than I expected, very busy tire center. Overall good experience

A few weeks ago I went there on a Sunday because something was wrong with my valve stem on my tire and they said they would fix it by the end of the day and then a hour later they called me and said mechanic was scared to work on my car because it’s a sports car i went to tire tech the next day and they fixed it within the hour I dropped it off if your in Oakland and you need a tire repair don’t go to Mavis go to tire tech

I had a very frustrating experience at the Mavis Discount Tire location in Oakland, NJ and will not be returning.
I initially went in for four new tires and a brake job. Right from the start, the front desk experience was unprofessional. The employee working the counter demonstrated poor customer service skills, lacked basic phone etiquette, and openly complained about coworkers and customers in front of people waiting in the lobby. Hearing staff refer to customers as “stupid” is completely unacceptable in any business setting.
After my visit, I noticed one of my rear tire pressures was off. When I called, I was met with an indifferent response and told to bring the car back. I specifically asked if it would be a quick fix and was told it wouldn’t take long. I ended up spending $30 each way on Uber rides, only to be told that I must have run over something. No real resolution was provided.
About three weeks later, all four tire pressures were off again. I called the Oakland location to follow up and once again encountered poor customer service. There was no attempt to gather my information upfront, and when I tried to understand what had been done previously, I was met with impatience and attitude. When I asked for clarification in simple terms (as I am not a mechanic), I was responded to condescendingly.
At that point, I decided to go to the Ridgewood Mavis location instead. Although I had to spend another $40 on transportation, the experience there was the complete opposite—professional, respectful, and efficient. They identified that the tire valves had not been properly installed in Oakland and corrected the issue at no charge.
Overall, this experience at the Oakland location was extremely disappointing—from unprofessional staff behavior to incomplete or incorrect service work. I would strongly advise others to consider a different location.

I came in today at 4:20 PM on a Saturday. They close at 5 PM. They were able to diagnose my tire and their honesty and professionalism and courtesy is to be complimented because they were able to get me out before they closed and did not turn me away. They had two other vehicles that they had to attend to and were able to accomplish it all.
