There's not much worse than getting in your car, turning that key and seeing that little exclamation point icon telling you that you have low tire pressure. But if you just filled up your tires yesterday and you're still seeing that warning, it may be time to replace your vehicle's TPMS sensor.

Extremely Disappointing and Unsafe Experience
I brought my car to Mavis Tires after one of my tires blew out on the highway. I had no choice but to drive the car there because the tire was completely ruined. Since I was in an emergency situation, they sold me the most expensive tire they had for $220 for just ONE tire on a 19-inch wheel. I understand prices can vary, but $220 for a single tire felt excessive. Unfortunately, in that situation, I felt like I had no choice but to accept it.
They took my vehicle into the shop, and I noticed that they opened the hood. I had only asked for a tire replacement, so I immediately went inside and asked why they were opening the hood. They told me it was part of their service. I still don’t understand why the hood needed to be opened when I was only there to replace one tire.
They then asked me to leave the shop area and wait outside, so I did. What happened next was the worst part of the experience.
From outside, I watched the employee working on my vehicle. The employee appeared very young and seemed to have very little experience. They started removing the lug nuts from the WRONG wheel — the tire that was perfectly fine and still properly inflated.
I immediately had to say, “Hey, hey! That’s not the tire!”
The employee, wearing headphones, simply responded, “Ohhh, I made a mistake.”
At that point, I became extremely concerned. I had my one-year-old baby with me, and my biggest concern was making sure we got home safely. Because I had already seen a mistake being made, I decided to take the air impact gun and socket myself and put the lug nuts back on. I did this purely out of precaution because I did not feel comfortable trusting that everything would be properly tightened after what I had just witnessed.
Thankfully, we made it home safely with my baby, but this was a terrible experience.
My advice to anyone taking their vehicle to a shop: ALWAYS pay attention to what is being done to your car when possible. Mistakes can happen, but removing the lug nuts from the wrong wheel during a tire replacement is not something I expected from a professional tire shop.
I hope management takes this seriously and makes sure their employees are properly trained and supervised. Customer safety should always come first.

I had a fabulous experience at Mavis. Not only did they fix my car exactly as they said they would, they outsmarted a previous mechanic who could not figure out the problem. When I drove away, there was a bit of a noise, so I drove back, and they fixed something they thought was too tight. They also fixed some other small cosmetic things on the car that I did not even ask for. It was a lovely experience.

I had a great experience at Mavis in Oakland. I came in with a nail in my tire that was causing a slow leak, and Dave was extremely helpful. They were able to patch the tire quickly and get me back on the road. Dave was friendly, professional, and made the whole experience quick and easy. It’s refreshing to receive this kind of customer service. I’ll definitely be coming back in the future. Highly recommend!

I would give 0 stars if I could. What poor customer service!
They acted like they were extremely busy, even though there were barely any customers in the store. I came in for a simple service—installing tires on my BMW—and they had to check three separate times to figure out whether they had the right person to do it and whether they could even work on my car.
Seriously? For a business that has “Tire” in its name, you would think installing tires would be pretty straightforward.
The whole experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. I didn’t feel confident leaving my car with them, so I took my business elsewhere.
