This was this first time to Mavis for an oil change and tire rotation. I had a later appointment and called to see if they would be able to take me earlier than my scheduled appointment and they were more than happy to accommodate me. Ron and Victoria were super friendly and inviting. They had me in and out in 30 minutes. I highly recommend having your car serviced with Mavis through Ron and Victoria. "Above and beyond" does not adequately describe the service I received at Mavis Discount Tire in Oakhurst. When it comes to auto repair and service I do all my own stunts except where tools are simply cost prohibitive; mounting/balancing tires and laser alignments fall under that category.
I'd recently had new tires installed elsewhere on a high mileage vehicle but had issues with the alignment. Jumping ahead a bit and skipping some details, I removed some sections of frame, welded in new steel, replaced all the rear suspension control arms along with front upper control arms, and was ready to try again on that alignment.
4 different shops either told me they couldn't align my truck or tried and did a less-than-stellar job. I then gave Mavis in Oakhurst a crack at it.
They took the truck in and found that they wouldn't be able to align it but *took the time to explain why*, which made ALL the difference. My particular tires have a rim protecting ridge, by design as I off-road, and it was preventing the alignment sensors from seating properly.
Armed with useful knowledge I came back with an old set of wheels and tires, expecting to drop them off and pick up the truck the next day. Before I made it to the exit door they'd already pulled my truck back into the alignment bay and got to work!
I watched while Sam worked on my truck as if it were his own, fine-tuning the front and rear until everything was spot on. The drive home was like driving a new truck, and the next day I tested towing a heavy camper and it was downright relaxing relative to previous experiences.
Thank you to Victoria, Damon, and Sam for the incredible service and for helping me love my truck all over again! I'll soon be back for tires and an alignment on my other truck!

Came in here off the highway with my car on a tow truck—
Desperate for help I was turned away by the manager, who was also in contact with the regional manager, who instructed him to send me away.
The tow truck driver was willing to put my truck directly into the bay, where it would be worked on because the wheel had fallen off.
Nothing more than the same work that would be required to change a wheel bearing— which I have had done at Mavis so many times before.
I had to hire a Mobile Mechanic
I guess tire changes and oil changes are all they wanna do
