  I had one of the worst rental experiences I’ve ever had at this location. I made my reservation well in advance, and at no point during the booking process was I informed that my pick-up and return flights had to be from Newark Airport. My reservation was accepted without any warning or restriction. However, when I arrived to collect the car, the staff refused to honor my reservation solely because my arrival and departure flights were at a different airport. This policy was never disclosed during the booking process. Even worse, no one made any effort to help, offer an alternative solution, or explain my options. As a result, I wasted an entire day of my trip dealing with a problem that should have been identified before my reservation was confirmed. Fortunately, I was able to rent a car from another rental company immediately, without any questions or issues. That clearly shows the problem was not with me, but with Alamo’s policies and poor customer service. This experience was extremely disappointing and completely unacceptable. If your company has restrictions like this, they should be made crystal clear before customers complete their reservations—not after they arrive at the counter. I cannot recommend this location to anyone and will seriously reconsider using Alamo in the future.

  This was one of the worst rental experiences I’ve ever had. We were told we couldn’t rent a car because we didn’t have a flight, yet nowhere on the website or during the booking process does it clearly state that a flight is required. I travel frequently and have rented cars many times, and I’ve never encountered a policy like this without it being disclosed upfront. To make matters worse, the employee who helped us was extremely rude and dismissive toward me and my friends. There was no professionalism or attempt to be helpful. This completely ruined our trip and wasted our time. If this is truly your policy, it needs to be made clear before customers book. I will never rent from this location again. Absolutely ridiculous

  Absolutely terrible experience with Alamo at Newark Airport. We arrived to pick up our rental car only to have our reservation denied after reaching the airport. We explained that the circumstances were completely beyond our control and simply asked for a little understanding and cooperation, but the staff was incredibly rude, dismissive, and unwilling to help in any way. The customer service was some of the worst I’ve ever experienced. Instead of trying to find a solution, they refused to assist us and showed no empathy whatsoever. As a result, I lost my money and was left stranded with no support. This experience has completely destroyed my trust in Alamo. I will never book with them again, and I strongly recommend that others avoid them as well. There are plenty of rental companies that actually value their customers and, Alamo is not one of them!!

  Surprised to say I had a great experience with a car rental company. Upon arrival, Lateefa came to get me from the other line and helped me get on my way quickly. She was able to get me an upgrade for a reasonable fee. She was very pleasant and polite. Then, Khaled got me a very nice car in great condition. Upon returning the vehicle, Sean checked me out quickly and efficiently. I had no issues and will try Alamo again.

  Excellent experience with Alamo from start to finish. The booking process was simple, pickup was quick, the car was clean and well-maintained, and the return was fast and hassle-free. I would definitely rent from Alamo again.
