One of the worst car buying experiences of my life. The manager inserted himself in the deal and blatantly lied about the fees including EV charges and the PA registration costs. They still owe me for the PA EV charges and are failing to pay. In addition when I discovered that the charging cord in the car was for another vehicle the salesman promised to get me the correct one but said he had to order it. It’s been six weeks and they are now not responding to my calls or texts. I have texts from the salesman Andrew saying he ordered the proper cord but he has now ghosted me. I am going to be filing a claim with the magisterial court if I don’t get what they agreed to. I would recommend anyone proceed with caution before buying from these people.

The salesperson I worked with was professional and courteous, so this review is not about him. Unfortunately, the dealership’s pricing practices were extremely disappointing. I found a BMW X3 listed online for around $31,000, but when I called to request the out-the-door (OTD) price, they refused to provide it over the phone and insisted that I visit the dealership in person. After spending time driving to the dealership and taking a test drive, I was shocked to learn that the actual price had increased by nearly $10,000, bringing it to approximately $41,000 before any meaningful explanation. Advertising one price online and then dramatically increasing it once the customer arrives feels like a classic bait-and-switch tactic. Transparency should be the standard, especially when customers specifically ask for an OTD price beforehand. If you’re considering this dealership, make sure you get a written breakdown of all fees and the final OTD price before making the trip.

My husband and I had a very disappointing experience with this Hyundai dealership. We brought our Hyundai Ioniq 6 in for a warranty-related issue and were assisted by Kevin Anderson. After reviewing the vehicle, we were told that because the car had a lemon/buyback history, it did not have warranty coverage. Based on that information, we were sent away without the issue being diagnosed or repaired. Afterwards, we took the same vehicle to another Hyundai dealership. They reviewed the situation, accepted the vehicle for warranty service, diagnosed the issue, and completed the repair under warranty without any major pushback. This experience was very frustrating because we relied on the information given to us by this dealership, and it turned out to be incorrect based on how the other Hyundai dealer handled the exact same vehicle and issue. We understand that lemon/buyback vehicles can involve additional checks, but customers should receive accurate warranty guidance instead of being turned away prematurely. Based on our experience, we would recommend getting a second opinion before accepting a warranty denial from this dealership.

I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with the experience I have had since purchasing my vehicle from your dealership.. When I purchased this vehicle, I expected a certain level of professionalism, customer service, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, my experience has been the complete opposite. While the dealership had no problem taking my money, the follow-through and diligence afterward have been severely lacking. Most recently, I was forced to spend approximately three hours at the dealership because someone failed to complete their job correctly. What should have been a simple reset of settings on a pre-owned vehicle turned into a lengthy and unnecessary inconvenience. My time is valuable, and every hour I spend sitting in a dealership because of preventable mistakes costs me money and disrupts my schedule. What is most disappointing is that these issues were avoidable. Customers should not have to bear the consequences of poor communication, lack of attention to detail, or employees failing to complete basic responsibilities. I purchased this vehicle with the expectation that it had been properly inspected, prepared, and serviced. Instead, I have been left feeling like customer satisfaction becomes an afterthought once the sale is completed.

I had a very disappointing experience at Route 1 Hyundai and would not recommend buying a used car from them. My friend and I drove about an hour and a half from New York to look at a used Alfa Romeo Giulia that was listed for around $27,000. Before making the trip, I called the dealership specifically to confirm whether there were any additional fees beyond the listing price. One of their representatives told me, “There are no additional costs on the listing price except for taxes and DMV fees.” I even asked directly, “There are no certification fees or reconditioning fees?” The representative responded by saying something along the lines of, “Why would we charge certification fees if we are not an Alfa Romeo dealership and we can’t certify these cars?” Based on that answer, I felt comfortable making the trip. Once we arrived, the numbers changed completely. They presented a price of around $38,000 — roughly $11,000 over the advertised listing price. Included in that was a $3,000 “certification” fee, even though they are not an official Alfa Romeo dealership, plus another fee of around $3,500. From what I was told, their “certification” is basically a multi-point inspection, yet they were trying to charge thousands of dollars for it. After going back and forth for a while, they eventually tried to lower the price, but only after the typical stressful dealership back-and-forth that feels designed to wear customers down. They also had a “non-negotiable” $900 doc fee, along with other fees added on top. Even after all of that, the last price they gave me was still over MSRP for a used car that was originally advertised at $27,000. That tells you everything you need to know. Expect them to try to get every last dollar out of you with added fees, inflated charges, and the usual dealership pressure tactics. Overall, I felt misled. I called ahead to avoid exactly this situation, was told there would be no extra fees besides taxes and DMV, and then wasted hours driving there just to be shown a price thousands of dollars higher than advertised. I would strongly recommend getting every number in writing before making the trip, or better yet, taking your business somewhere else.
