Avoid Mavis Tires & Brakes on Route 35 in Holmdel. I brought my car in for a flat tire repair, and the technician told me he had to ask his manager if he was even allowed to fix it. It felt like a clear sales tactic to avoid a simple repair and force me into buying brand-new tires instead. Based on this experience, I absolutely do not recommend this location for flat repairs or any other service. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

What a uniquely bad experience. Had a slow leak in a tire and brought it to Mavis in Middletown after having them special order my tire spec. Once the “new tire” was put on, I picked my car up and drove about a mile from the shop when the tire light comes on again. 28psi.
I take it back to Mavis immediately, where the Service Manager comes to the conclusion that the TPMS light is on because the other 3 tires are too high in pressure which changes the ride height of the vehicle and throws the TPMS light. He adjusts the pressure, clears the light and I drive the 10 minutes home with no issues.
The next morning, I wake up to that same tire flat. I take it back to Mavis once again, where I am told I am the “most unlucky person in the world” because my brand new tire has a nail in the sidewall.
At this point, I indicate my extreme skepticism that this tire was never replaced in the first place. The Service Manager looked around and found my brand new tire in the stack of recently received tires, admitting that the old tire was indeed never even removed from my car.
I will give the Service Manager credit, he eventually put his hand up and admitted that he should have caught this. I was ultimately denied any refund & offered a free oil change for the trouble, which I informed them is of no value of me due to my current lease’s service package.
They claim that they will somehow make this right the next time I require service. I will happily change this review to 5 stars if they ever live up to their word.
