  On the second day of our trip, a notification appeared on the dashboard stating that we needed to refill the coolant and check the operator’s manual. We called the emergency line and were instructed to go to the nearest office. However, the only office that was open was 1.5 hours away since it was Saturday morning. When we arrived, they were unable to help us, and one of the employees was a bit rude during the conversation. He eventually directed us to a shop affiliated with Enterprise. We went there, but we were told that they were fully booked for the day and would not be able to accommodate us until the following day. We then called the branch where we picked up the vehicle and asked them to find a solution. We also asked them to call the shop and let them know we were coming, since we had already wasted half the day and missed parts of our itinerary. Thankfully, the branch was able to help us. It was already noon by the time the vehicle was checked. We had wasted half a day of our trip and missed activities for which we had already purchased tickets. On top of that, we were charged for an additional hour when we returned the vehicle.

  The manager at this location was a nice guy, but unfortunately, he was no help. My experience with Enterprise was nothing short of traumatic. I rented a pickup truck and was told that I couldn’t rent it because I was underage. However, Enterprise’s website clearly states that customers between 21 and 24 are allowed to rent a pickup truck. The only option the manager had for me was a Chrysler Pacifica. I explained to him that I was going to be doing a lot of driving and needed a better vehicle, but he was of no help. I had no choice but to take the Pacifica, and the car was an utter disaster. It was rumbling once I went over 50 mph. Roadside assistance told me to go to Newark Airport to switch the car. However, when I got there, all Newark had available for me was a Nissan Sentra. I needed something bigger, so I was forced to keep the Pacifica. I started my long drive, and it was nearly impossible. I finally found another location where they switched me into a Honda Odyssey. Unfortunately, that vehicle had a non-functioning passenger-side window and broken windshield wipers. I filed a complaint, and when I dropped off the car, the employee told me that they would not close out my rental until the manager spoke with me. It has now been three weeks, and I still have not received a call and my Rentel has since been closed out. I have filed complaints multiple times and have never received a response. Overall, my impression of this company is complete dysfunction and a lack of accountability. I’ve rented from Hertz, Avis, and now Enterprise, and I can say with certainty that I have had, by far, the worst experience with Enterprise.

  Call location to verify if they actually have a car!!! They are taking reservations online and by phone but when you come to pick up, they don’t have the car available! Don’t waste your time!!!

  Our car was hit by a hit and run driver. The repairs would take a week. Enterprise Rent-A-Car delivered to us a Chevy Hybrid, beautiful car. Needless to say when it came time to get back into my own little Kia.I didn't want to trade cars. This is my second time with enterprise.Rent a car.\nAnd I would recommend them to anybody.   The branch in Lakewood NJ has poor customer service. I am 78 years old and my Insurance co told me they contacted Enterprise and a car was reserved for me. Enterprise reserved a larger SUV. Me and my friend asked them if the SUV was covered by my insurance and they said yes. When I returned the vehicle they socked me for $300 that was not covered by my insurance. They should have reserved a car for me that was covered by my insurance or at least informed me that it was more than covered by my Insurance. The Manager and Asst Manager was nowhere to be found. Beware! I should have checked my policy beforehand- but like I said Im older and just took their word They were not above board.
