I arrived knowing my wheel alignment was good and only wanted a tire rotation. However, they took a while and informed me that I needed alignment. I declined because I had recently had my suspension and alignment done together. When I returned to the car and the alignment was all messed up.

I’m disappointed with how a vehicle damage concern was handled at this Mavis location.
I brought my vehicle to Mavis on September 5, 2026 for tire service. When I returned to pick up my vehicle on September 6, I noticed a scratch/damage on the rear bumper/fender that I had not noticed before.
I immediately reported the damage to the store with an employee Arturo. I later spoke with the manager when he was back from his vacation and asked if the surveillance footage could be reviewed. I made it clear that I was not accusing Mavis of causing the damage — I simply wanted the camera footage checked so we could determine what happened.
I was told that Mavis did not believe the damage was caused there, but I was not shown the footage. I followed up again and still did not receive a written response or a clear explanation of what was reviewed.
I understand that determining responsibility can take an investigation. My concern is that I was looking for a fair review of the situation and clear communication, but I did not feel that happened.
I would encourage management to improve how vehicle-damage concerns are investigated and communicated to customers.
Also I would not recommend anyone to come to Mavis as they are not reliable. While the manager stuck on one thing that they are not responsible for the scratch.

They tried to raise the price of tires by $125 while they had my car jacked up after I called and confirmed the stock and price over phone (and confirmed on site before they started service). Really brutal experience and they acted like I was being unreasonable when I told them I couldn’t take the more expensive tires.

I had a great experience at Mavis in Jersey City, and I especially want to recognize the employee, Arturo Ramirez who helped me. He was extremely professional, patient, and friendly throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made sure I understood what was needed without making me feel pressured.
It’s not every day you come across someone who genuinely cares about providing good customer service, and this employee definitely stood out. They made what could have been a stressful experience so much easier.
Mavis is lucky to have someone like this on their team. I really appreciate the excellent service and would definitely recommend this location!
