I have a 2022 Honda Accord with dealer installed wheel locks.
I had an issue with a tire yesterday, so I stopped at Mavis in the Mall on 440.
When I got to the front desk, the gentleman was very polite.
He took my information to check the tire but I lost the wheel lock key.
I always taught all shops that did tires would have a universal key to take those locks off.
I was amazed to find out that all tire shop do not have that service.
I asked the gentleman at the front desk where would I be able to have these lock removed.
He suggested 2 places in Jersey City that provide that service because they deal with custom wheels.
Places like Mavis. Firestone, etc are just general basic tire and repair shops not custom wheel and tire shops.
So I made an appointment at one of the locations he mentioned and they removed all my wheel locks
The service was not free. It cost me with taxes $100.
What choice did I have. It was my fault I lost the wheel lock key to my tire locks.
So I had to man up and pay the price for my stupidity and carelessness.
I was very happy the the front desk manager at the Mavis on 440 was able to recommend a place within the neighborhood that could solve my delima in short order.
I really appreciated his honesty, professionalism, and kindness he showed me in how he spoke to me and guided me in resolving my situation.
Thank you very much Mavis for your generosity and morality in dealing with the people in the neighborhood.

Spoke with a rep on the phone yesterday who assured me they have the removal tool needed to take my tire off and insisted I come in so they could check my car. I made an appointment for 8am so I was first when they opened. The “front desk manager” told everyone to go into the waiting area and those with appointments would be seen first but assisted someone who came as a walk in first. When I told him the convo I had w/ the rep he cut me off mid-sentence & said they don’t have that tool & doesn’t know who said that because he’s usually at the front. He stated I probably spoke with someone else at a different location or maybe a general line. I told him there’s no singular general phone line that would transfer a call. If you looked online each store has their own specific phone number even if the person I spoke with didn’t say anything about being a general Mavis phone rep etc. so how would that be possible. Place was a literal waste of my time so please don’t waste yours!!

This is the second time I have used this location and it’s because of Richard. My wife and I got a flat driving home during the wicked storm Saturday night. I stopped by Sunday morning to get it replaced however the location had no power from the previous nights storm. The next morning Richard texted me early and said they were up and running and that he had the replacement tire that I needed in stock and he would be able to get me in and out quick. This kind of service is above and beyond and really appreciated. If you need tire work or repairs done go to this place. They are honest, friendly and professional.
