  Just so you guys know replacing a 12v battery in an EV is exactly the same as a gas car lmao. “We don’t touch electric cars” is such a lame excuse for “we don’t want to do the work”. Replacing the 12v battery takes 3 minutes and won’t “kill you” hahaha.

  You have to do something about that bald weird guy at the register, he was very odd, not helpful and the worst service I’ve had in any business, he made unprofessional comments and made me feel unsafe. I genuinely didn’t know if he was maybe mentally ill or having an episode but for everyone’s sake do something about it, it was obvious he was known to be “weird” ( for lack of better words) but ignoring it is being complacent.

  This place deserves no stars. Very disappointed with the service at AutoZone on Communipaw Ave in Jersey City. We called over an hour before closing and arrived about 30 minutes before closing, but it was very clear the employees did not want to help us. First, we were charged for a part that was never even handed to us. After realizing it and calling the store, we went back. While there, we also showed them that the fuel filter they sold us was clearly used — it had scratches on it and smelled like gas. The employee insisted she “checked it,” claimed there were no scratches, and denied it was used. When we pointed out the smell and condition of the part, both employees reacted strangely instead of addressing the issue professionally. The coworker had originally told us they had a brand new replacement fuel filter available along with the part that was never handed to us, but once we returned they suddenly claimed they didn’t have it anymore. That made no sense considering she had already scanned it earlier and, when we first came in, she had no issue telling us exactly what they had in stock and what they didn’t. After leaving and going back to our mechanic, we then found out even more parts were wrong. We were sold the wrong engine filter, the thermostat was missing the ring/seal, and the additional replacement part we bought after the refund also ended up being the wrong part too. At that point, it honestly started feeling intentional. This entire experience wasted our time, money, gas, and our mechanic’s time. On top of that, they never even returned our receipts back to us. The customer service was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional from start to finish. Hopefully, they rectify this tomorrow. After that, we will never be returning to this specific AutoZone again and definitely will not be referring anyone there either. Thank you for the employees in Bayonne and Rt 440 who were more than kind, but unfortunately were closing early. We would have gone there had we known the customer service on Communipaw Ave was so poor and unpleasant. Terrible young, female working the front and terrible manager who closed last night with her. Apparently, our mechanic knew exactly who we were talking about because other clients have complained to him about them too. Please, do better and hire better kids.
