- MAm A4 days ago1.0I had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had here. When I walked in, one employee was on his phone eating chips, while the other simply walked away from the counter even though he wasn’t helping anyone. I asked if they could test my battery, and I was told, “Come back tomorrow morning.” When I asked why, the employee just laughed instead of giving me an explanation. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. The attitude from the staff was unacceptable, and it was clear they had no interest in helping customers. I won’t be coming back, and I would recommend driving the extra 10 minutes to another auto parts store where they actually care about customer service.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
