I've always gotten a good deal whenever I've had work done at Mavis in Howell. I've had struts, an alternator, tires, and other stuff done there; and the price has always been fair and usually cheaper than their competitors. Trevor was always cool and respective. A few years back. I brought a car in after being told by Midas that it definitely needed an alignment. Spencer put my car on the machine and showed me the specs and how an alignment wouldn't fix the issue. This statement was supported by a Gulf station, who put the car on a lift and showed me exactly what was wrong. When I had the struts done (on another car), I was willing to pay for the sway bar to be replaced, but Spencer didn't try to upsell me and insist it was necessary. The cost for replacing the struts for that car along with an alignment was $300-$400 cheaper than the prices I found online.
Recently, I thought there was something wrong with the wiring connected to a tail light because it would go out, but I could make it go on again by wiggling a connected socket. I was expecting and willing to pay over a $100, assuming they cut me a good deal and were being fair. I ended up paying $23.83 because Spencer found out that even thought it lit up, one of the bulbs was incorrect and the prongs would not connect consistently. He could have ripped me off and I would never have known it.
I do very much appreciate how honest and respectful Spencer and Trevor are. Mavis of Howell also has some convenient hours, being open until 8:30pm on Thursdays and also have weekend hours.

I cannot say enough great things about Mavis Discount Tire in Howell! They replaced my brake pads under warranty without any hassle and provided outstanding customer service from start to finish. The gentlemen working there were professional, honest, friendly, and truly a pleasure to deal with.
What impressed me most was how they stood behind their work and took care of the issue the right way. Mavis states that warranty service is honored across its locations, and the Howell team made the process smooth and stress-free.
I drove nearly an hour to come here, and it was absolutely worth the trip. Unfortunately, the Mavis location in Rahway, where I live, was no help at all and sold me cheap brake pads without explaining other available options. The difference in customer service between the two locations was night and day.
