  I recently visited AutoZone in Hackettstown, NJ and had a very disappointing experience. The biggest issue was the store manager, who came across as rude, obnoxious, and extremely unprofessional throughout my visit. Instead of helping customers, he seemed more interested in speaking down to people and creating a hostile environment. What was especially disturbing was how condescending he appeared toward non-English-speaking customers. His tone and behavior gave the impression of clear bias and disrespect, which was uncomfortable to witness. Every customer deserves to be treated with patience and dignity, regardless of language barriers. My own interaction was no better. I had simple questions regarding a battery purchase and warranty, and rather than assist me professionally, he was inattentive and dismissive. I also overheard him mutter what sounded like a misogynistic comment under his breath because I was asking questions. That kind of behavior is unacceptable in any customer-facing business. I expect far better from a national company. Management should seriously review the leadership and customer service standards at this location, because no customer should have to deal with disrespect, prejudice, or hostility while simply trying to make a purchase.

  They had a battery for my 26 yr old Harley when I really needed it this past week. Saved my day when no one else was coming through.

  I would give no Stars if I could! Pulled into the parking lot at Hackettstown AutoZone at 7:26. They were supposed to be ( OPEN!! ) on a Friday morning by 7:30. Four other customers showed up shortly after I did, and all had left by 7:45. I waited till 7:50 store was still not open! Buy a freaking watch. 😡 Evidently Napa across town can tell time.
