One clerk was the only employee in evidence to handle everything. Otherwise, no complaints.

It could be the employees just didn't feel like working, but when you have 3+ auto parts shops on the same road within a mile that also do free installation and charge the same prices, you kind of have to at least do the bare minimum.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
