  The service is always great and quick. Although, I was advised and I agreed that I needed to replace my engine air filter and cabin air filter. The markup on the filters was way too expensive. I cancelled the filters and paid half the price at Auto Zone.

  When the young man was filling my oil, he must’ve squeeze the trigger too hard and oil went flying everywhere. The other young man told him not to squeeze the trigger too hard or something along those lines. I waited a few minutes to see if they were going to wipe up the oil and they didn’t so I called one of the attendants over a young girl, I think her name was Amanda And asked her if someone was going to clean it up. She proceeded to spray some blue stuff all over my engine and clean it, and then spray it again with some air or something and wiped it down… I had to tell her that the oil splashed on the inside of the top of my hood, so she wiped it too. She said everything was OK and I wouldn’t be smelling anything or nothing was gonna be smoking or anything and since I got a free Car wash next-door that would help too… When I got home, I’ll let my husband know what happened and he looked Under the hood and said there was still oil everywhere… He keeps my car very clean so he knew that it wasn’t like that before I went there and he wiped it all down. He also called the shop to complain and they hung up on him… I will never be going there again.

  I never leave reviews, but this one was truly needed. I do a lot of my own work on my car because my trust in people is very limited. However, this location if I could leave 100 stars, I would. I had my car serviced at Valvoline in Freehold and I genuinely cannot say enough good things about the experience. Years ago, I had a terrible experience at a Valvoline location in Pennsylvania where my oil plug was stripped, so ever since then, I’ve been extremely anxious when it comes to having my car serviced. I’m currently in New Jersey and do a lot of driving, and I’ve already been to the Freehold location three times. I was especially stressed because I have a seven-hour drive ahead of me and was worried that something might be wrong with my car. I was admittedly panicking when I arrived. The service manager came over, immediately helped calm me down, and reassured me that everything was going to be okay. He told me they would take care of the car and make sure I was ready and safe for my drive. I’ll also admit that when I’m extremely stressed, my sarcasm comes out and I can be a little difficult. Despite that, he was patient, professional, understanding, and genuinely kind. He helped me calmed down, made sure my concerns were addressed, and got my car serviced in a timely manner. That level of customer service deserves recognition. It completely changed what could have been an incredibly stressful experience for me. I greatly appreciate the service manager and the entire Freehold Valvoline team. !!!!!! Valvoline, if you don’t give this manager a bonus, you absolutely should!!! Employees who treat customers with this much patience, compassion, and professionalism are the reason people come back. Thank you for making sure both my car and I were ready for the road!

  The technicians at Valvoline are always polite, informative, professional, and thorough. They never waste my time, they always answer my questions respectfully, and I never feel like they try to upsell me on services I don't need. There are many places I could go closer to my house for an oil change, but this team has earned my business multiple times over and I will continue to be a customer there for as long as I can.

  I wanted to thank Anthony for being so attentive to my car and going out of his way to change my air cabinet filter. I went there to get my oil changed and asked about getting my filter change and he was happy to do it. He is a good responsible young man. You are lucky to have him as an employee. I must say everyone that helped me was so professional and kind. Thank you.
