Shattered rear window on a Sunday afternoon, 1 hour appointment on Tuesday and we were on our way. All other glass repair shops told us they would get our glass in 10 days! Safelite had a nice waiting room, courteous staff that kept us updated on repair. All insurance info entered at time of service request.
Called and got an appointment and was told it would be 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm on a certain day. Waited from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm and when I called, the lady said he was running late. Driver never called me or text me to say he was running late. He NEVER did show up. They never even called the next morning! I wouldn’t have Safelite in Freehold fix my windshield if they were the only glass company in New Jersey. Total IRRESPONSIBLE IDIOTS !!!!🤬

My experience with Safelite was top notch. I was able to get an appt the next day. I received multiple forms of communication explaining the process- prior to my appt. My tech called me when he was about 25 mins away and then when he arrived. When the tech arrived to my house, he explained anything again. Safelite’s service was efficient and timely. I hope to never replace my windshield again, but if I have to, it will be with Safelite!
I would strongly recommend avoiding this Safelite location.
The entire experience left me with the impression that speed and volume were being prioritized over quality and care. They appeared to be handling an extremely high volume of windshield replacements that day, and unfortunately, the quality of the work reflected that.
During the replacement of my back windshield, the glass was broken during removal and ended up scattered throughout my vehicle. I later discovered that glass had gotten into one of the interior panels as well, which now requires an additional repair.
What concerns me even more is how the situation was handled. Rather than being upfront about what happened, I was initially given an explanation that did not align with what ultimately turned out to be the case. It was eventually clear that the glass in the panel was caused during the windshield replacement.
Mistakes can happen. What I expect from a professional service is honesty, accountability, and attention to detail. Instead, I am now left having to take my vehicle somewhere else to have damage caused during this service addressed.
If you’re going to handle this kind of volume, the quality and care still need to be there. I would not recommend this location based on my experience. Be honest with your customers when something goes wrong rather than trying to explain it away.
