  Arrived at my rental time and was advised by the clerk that a vehicle in my class was not available as they were sold out, "... but for $2 more per day we can get you the next larger size!" After receiving a sermon on the nuances of economics, idiocincricies of global supply & demand, best business practices, company policy, and how "two dollars per day is not really much money" I declined to pay more for a vehicle I had reserved in advance and eventually spoke to a manager who, very hesitantly and begrudgingly, provided a rental at the previously agreed upon price. Vehicle the manager provided was not ready and I was asked to wait while it was serviced. I left to grab a bite to eat and returned an hour later while vehicle was washed and cleaned for customer use. Approximately 1 month ago I also had a reservation for a larger vehicle. They also ran out of vehicles that day in May, but at least the location called me and gave me 10-hour notice they would not be able to fulfill my reservation and allowed me to scramble for alternative plans. Almost instantly after the phone call I received a seemingly auto-generated email from Enterprise that I, the customer, had requested to cancel the reservation. This is not true; this was presumably done so it appears to corporate that the customer cancelled the reservation as opposed to the location cancelling on the customer, yet again. Renters be warned... This location is directly a scene from a Seinfeld episode: Jerry: I don't understand. Do you have my reservation? Rental Car Agent: We have your reservation, we just ran out of cars. Jerry: But the reservation keeps the car here. That's why you have the reservation. Rental Car Agent: I think I know why we have reservations. Jerry: I don't think you do. You see, you know how to *take* the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation. And that's really the most important part of the reservation: the holding. Anybody can just take them.

  I had questions about my rental car at this location but cannot get to customer service on phone waited 1 hr on phone. When I went at location there was huge line everyone came as they don’t pick up phone. See pic attached. 2 employee servicing them. Seems they have cars and customers but no employee to serve them.

  Through insurance they were supposed to rent a car to me. They said they don’t hv it. Fine. But they then didn’t inform me and when I called next day, they said they scheduled it in the morning and I didn’t show up.And now they don’t hv car till 2 days. They were very rude.

  Quick pick-up. Quick drop-off. Rep suggested a 2027 BMW X7 as my loaner while my camaro was in the shop. Lol. Turns out that tank is fun to drive and also a good way to check out all the latest features in a new 2027 SUV. UPDATE: TURNS OUT THAT I WAS BILLED OVER $1200!!! THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A LOANER., TO GO BACK AND FORTH TO WORK. I told the rep that i would drive any car as long as I didn't have to pay anything extra than what my insurance company allows, which was $60 per day.

  I am writing to a detailed repetitive issue regarding the location, during out recent Ford Transit Wgn rental (booked via Costco Travel) for pickup on May 23, 2026, at the Edison State Rte. 27 location. While employee Brandon tried to mitigate the issue by offering a one-day waiver, the systemic failure, lack of preparation, and stressful experience we endured were completely unacceptable. Please review the details of our experience below: We had a Confirmed Reservation: We booked a 15-passenger van on May 19 to transport a group of 12 people for a planned resort vacation. Last-Minute Cancellation: On the morning of our 9:00 AM pickup, while we were already en route, Brandon called to state that overnight returns did not come in, and no van was available. Contradictory Visuals: Upon arrival, we saw 7 to 8 passenger vans parked on the lot. The manager claimed these were "arranged for other people," which was highly frustrating given that we also held a confirmed reservation. Severe Delay: With a group of 12 people stranded, we had no choice but to accept an alternative to drive to Freehold to pick up a van. This resulted in a grueling 2-hour round-trip detour that heavily disrupted our vacation schedule. So many failures by Enterprise Enterprise should track inventory tightly. If no vans were available, this should have been flagged and resolved before we left our house. It should not be the customer's responsibility to drive two hours round-trip to retrieve a vehicle from another branch. Enterprise should have transferred the vehicle to Edison ahead of our pickup time. Booking through Costco Travel implies a guarantee of service. Honoring other reservations over ours while vans sat on the lot felt entirely unfair. The one-day waiver does not fully compensate for the stress, delayed vacation start, and extra driving imposed on our large group. I expect Enterprise to review its reservation management policies at the Edison branch so future travelers do not experience this level of anxiety. I look forward to your response and your plan to address these service gaps.
