Will checked , noticed the loose connection on the ground terminal, cleaned it meticulously , adjusted the contacts for a snug fit. Battery test confirmed a good status and no more jump starts. Refreshing to meet such nice people , who go above and beyond. Will, you will succeed in everything you do. Thanks AAP for acquiring great assets.

He brought out a monitor and asked me to turn car off. I did and he put machine on it. After a few minutes, he said it was not battery. He asked me to start it again and it turned over! He said you need to check out the key fobs. I got home and tested them and both key fobs were dead. After replacing them, all are working. Thank you Advance personnel for being honest and concerned about me! I will be back. Great organization and better people . Bill Lenahan

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
