- JCJheison CastroMay 4, 20261.0Absolute worst treatment i have ever received at a parts store and ive been a mechanic for 10 years. The counter person was horrible to deal with him even asking me personal questions like why im shopping in new jersey if im from new york etc, we were trying to process a return and a new purchase and he kept cancelling it every time saying oh the system is down come back tomorrow, well i went back today when the “gm” was in named joe and had an even worse experience with him which led to him kicking me out of the store and refusing to service me. Never have i ever had encounters with people like this and i have been wrenching on cars my whole life. Safe to say i took my business elsewhere and will never be going back here between workers who sold me wrong parts by not paying attention to what he was doing and listed the items i bought under some other persons name to “managers” named joe who have zero clue how to deal with people at all.

Cost:Value is well below average anymore, as it is for every damn business and every product. We're being fleeced by mid and larger sized corporations. There is no "shortage" of ANYTHING. It's False Scarcity, a Corporatist tactic to keep production limited and prices artificially HIGH.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
