I was heading on a father son trip to the Adirondak mountains on the morning of August 19th 2026 from Pennsylvania when my car broke down on I287. I had lost power steering so I limped my way to the next exit(Bernardsville NJ) and the closest car repair shop I could find. It was down the road from Mavis and I sat at the door and waited until it opened at 8am at which time I explained my situation and was told there was no way they could fit me in even though it was just a broken serpentine belt. I called Mavis down the road from where I was and the helpful woman who answered said let me see what we can do for you. After a short time waiting she came back on the phone and said bring it right over I am ordering the part now. Even though I was not on the schedule for the day they fit me in and got me back on the road in no time. My son was so sad thinking the trip was off but thanks to Mavis we made it to to our camping spot in the mountains that day! I will not forget their kindness!
