For the past several years, both my brother and I have rented vehicles from this location whenever we travel to New Jersey to visit our mother. What was once my favorite rental company has unfortunately become my least favorite. In the past, Enterprise always provided excellent customer service and was accommodating whenever I needed a vehicle. However, after my most recent experience, I do not plan on renting from them again.
As a Platinum member, I expected a much higher level of customer care and support. While my rental vehicle was legally parked, it was struck by another driver who then fled the scene. A police report was filed, and the at-fault driver's insurance information was eventually recovered.
What I find extremely frustrating is that instead of pursuing the insurance company of the person who actually caused the damage, Enterprise immediately turned to my insurance carrier and suggested that I could be held responsible if the other party's insurance declined the claim. It makes no sense that my insurance should be expected to pay for damages that I neither caused nor had any control over.
To make matters worse, the claims representative I spoke with was rude, dismissive, and argumentative throughout the conversation. Rather than providing reassurance or explaining the process professionally, she repeatedly focused on what "might" happen if the other insurance company denied the claim, leaving me feeling blamed for an accident I did not cause.
As a loyal customer, I expected Enterprise to advocate for a fair resolution and pursue the responsible party's insurance first. Instead, I felt unsupported and treated as though I was at fault. This experience has completely changed my perception of the company, and unfortunately, it has cost them my future business.

Jared, the manager of the Belmar Enterprise office, sets a professional tone. He is courteous, efficient, and considerate. He matches cars to customers’ needs and advises on cost-saving options. The cars are well-maintained. Mercedes is also friendly, helpful, and professional. All the staff, including Josh and Izzy, are helpful and nice. We returned as customers and will again. Thank you.
