- TOTaylor OfficeAug 22, 20265.0I had a jeep compass 2022 with a yellow “A” with a circle icon light for months. Cruise control, stop start eco mode, and headlights all started fail. I called Advanced auto parts with my concern. They immediately diagnosed it by checking both battery’s and identify the auxiliary battery as the problem. Isaiah, the store general manager uninstalled the old battery, showed me the low voltage to verify the need of the purchase, found the battery I needed, and installed it on the spot. This problem has been on the back of my mind for months and just like that it was gone in an instant. Glad I chooses to come here!

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
