- VYVlad YekelchikMay 9, 20262.0Took my car to get tires fitted. Scheduled appointment on line and tires showed in stock. Headed in and was told after the car was on the rack that tires I wanted were not there and they suggested a different cheaper brand which I agreed to. Picked up car same day, they told me that they had to change one of TPMS sensors due to them damaging it. Everything seemed to be ok. As I started driving the car and several days later another (different) TPMS sensor displayed errors additionally one of the tires they installed was losing air pressure. I bought a new OEM TPMS and headed back to the shop. They told me that they don’t have equipment to program the new TPMS, even though I insisted that my car will automatically learn and sync to the new TPMS. They looked at the tire which was losing air and said they put new bead on the tire and that should do it. I continued to lose air in that tire. As I lost confidence in this shop I went to a different Mavis Discount Tire Shop and they changed the TPMS (free!) and no programming was not necessary. They also diagnosed the tire that was leaking air and found a faulty valve stem which the other shop put in when I bought new tires. Same franchise - different mindset - hence the difference in service and customer satisfaction! Kudos to Mavis Discount Tire in Bernadsville - they’ve earned my business.
