I have been a customer of Tommy’s Express Car Wash for almost one years, and unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience with them.
I recently purchased my second brand-new car, and it was only 10 days old when I took it to Tommy’s Express for a car wash. During the wash, screws came from the blower area and hit my windshield.
I immediately reported what happened to the employee. He found the screws underneath my windshield wiper and went inside to investigate where they came from. After checking, he came back and apologized and told me that he had determined the screws came from the car wash. He took all of my information and told me the manager was off that day and would contact me the next day.
I waited, but by Monday I had not heard from her, so I called her. She asked if she could see the vehicle, and I agreed. She also contacted the employee who had been working that day. He explained to her what had happened and where the screws had come from.
The manager then told me she would send the information to the body shop they work with and that I should wait for the estimate. I waited about a week, and she called me and said that the claim had been denied. When I asked why, she did not give me a clear explanation.
I explained that the employee who was there that day had personally found the screws and determined where they came from. The manager told me that the employee should not have told me that before they completed their investigation.
I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled, especially because my vehicle was only 10 days old. I had been a loyal customer for almost one years, and I expected the company to take my concern seriously and properly address the damage.
I have now provided all of the information and documentation regarding this incident to my attorney, and the matter is being handled through the appropriate legal process.
I am sharing my experience so other customers can be aware of what happened to me and consider taking extra precautions, especially if
they have a new or expensive vehicle.
