  I took my 2019 Toyota Rav4 to have an oil change and get an over all inspection done due to the age and the miles. From the minute I walked in the door until I picked up my vehicle, the professionalism and kindness was way above my expectations. I was surprised to be able to see pictures from the inspection and explanations of everything they were showing and what needed to be done. I would highly recommend them and I will definitely be back.

  I wasn’t going to review this place but they keep sending me automated messages even though I opt out of them. So now I’m gonna tell my experience. Had my exhaust rust apart between the converter and the resonator. Called in the morning to see if I could get it in for a repair and was told yes bring it down and we will look at it and get the work done the same day. Came in and spoke to the person up front and was told they would inspect the exhaust for about $53 and that it would be done the same day. Thought it unnecessary for an inspection since it was obvious what was wrong when you simply looked at it but whatever they need to do to get it done. The vehicle that this took place on was my work vehicle which is a 2010 Chevy Impala worth maybe $2500 and I work in the construction industry. Again wanted a simple repair done and finally around 3 pm that day I realized that they closed at 5:30 and I’ve heard nothing back from them. I need my car back so I could go to work the next day. I called, got the same guy I talked to on the phone in the morning and he seemed a bit frantic telling me “ the inspection is finishing up and someone should be contacting me shorty with and estimate.” I asked if the work would still be done and finished that day and was assured yes it would. About 3:30 I received a text with the estimate file attached. A full car inspection was done, which I didn’t ask for, and I received an estimate for over $9000. The exhaust part of the estimate, which is the only work I wanted done, come to just over $2000. Again this is a work car that isn’t worth a lot. Spending over $2000 on a car that is barely worth more than that is a bit much but to put a $9200 estimated repair bill on a car that wouldn’t even be worth half of that after repairs seems absolutely absurd. I don’t know why these shops feel the need to disregard the customers wishes and not focus on the initial repair request and do this up sale crap but it turned me off very much and I chose not to use their services. They did get the $53 out of me for the stupid unnecessary exhaust inspection and that’s all this place will ever receive from my hard earned money. So the next day I took it to the guy I used prior, who unfortunately was not open the day before, and it was fixed by 10am that same morning and cost $110 to repair. Ace exhaust over off of south 60th here in Omaha is the place to go with ANY exhaust repair needs. That place doesn’t screw around with charging for inspections. You being it in, first come first serve style and they repair it and send you on your way. Mad Hatter unfortunately lost my business and any support I would have given them with a BS up sale inspection when I made it clear on 3 different conversations that I simply wanted my exhaust fixed. But go to Ace mufflers and brakes is the place I’d recommend for any exhaust repairs. This place has sent me close to 10 messages in the last week even though I’ve opted out of them twice and the fact that they sent me this one for a review was careless and stupid. Other people may be joy their services and that’s great. My experience was not productive or cost effective. Cost me $53 for them to do absolutely nothing. And I probably got off cheap.

  They got my car fixed quickly and it’s running better than ever! They explained what I needed done without upselling, just informed me of future repairs to look out for. And I was really thankful for Bud dropping me off and picking me up, great guy!

  Got my ac fixed, they did the job. They did not reach out to communicate updates. They held on to my car for 3 days. I got given a sheet of paper with over 3 grand of fixes that once I took my car in to double check at another shop. I was told all the recommendations weren’t necessary. Do you due diligence on the fixes they suggest. I believe they use a good service to mask them trying to get you to pay for more work. Hard to trust the service in these times we’re in not trying to totally shoot them in the foot.
