  I had a reservation for a minivan for a noon pick up. At 12:45 I arrived, the person setting at the desk said she just gave that away. Ask if I wanted to wait till 1:30 for the next van to be returned. ( assuming the budget cleaning team is NASCAR fast for a turn around cleaning). Then the counter attendant asked if the Jeep Grand Cherokee would do. She said that she wouldn’t charge me for the upgrade. I let her know doing right by the customer is not an upgrade ( apparently that is foreign for this location). I agreed to wait for the other vehicle. They had to fetch it from the airport lot. After waiting 20 min I went in, and the counter person informed me the shuttle was waiting for the rain to stop. This is a business case on how to not handle customers! A confirmed reservation, failed, telling me. I was getting a “free” upgrade, to a vehicle with terrible gas mileage and not the space my family wanted. Thanks Budget- family vacation off to crappy start. No need to call or reply with some canned responses. Have a great life. I won’t be back.

  I made a reservation over a month in advance of my pickup and I called the morning of my pickup to check when it would be okay for me to swing by and they told me that my reservation had been cancelled and that they were waiting for me to call to tell me as they didn't have my information to contact me. They forwarded me to the regional manager who proceeded to tell me that he was planning on calling me later today (as if that would be appropriate the day of) and told me how the person never dropped off the truck and trailer I was waiting on. He told me to book with a competitor and they would help to offset some of the cost. After spending all day on the phone and driving around town I managed to get set up with a U-Haul and trailer. When I called back Budget to request the stipend they said they can only reimburse up to $250 of the difference between the UHaul reservation. Will never book with Budget again. UHaul people were very nice and even gave me discounts as apologies for making me drive a longer distance to get the trailer.

  My rental was mostly positive. The office process was efficient and friendly. The car, a Kona, was mostly satisfactory. One negative was that at times it smelled of cigarette smoke. That was offensive to me. I don't know if that was caused by a previous renter or by company staff. In either case, the situation should have been addressed early on. The other negative was the limited selection of vehicles - only two; and the other vehicle was not appropriate for my use.

  Very unprofessional so called manger! I have rented at this location for years using the same card than this manager, Well, she called herself A Manager and said that my card wasn’t allowed although I rented a car 1 week prior with that card. Then this manager said that the lady that accepted my card will be fired and laughed about it and that’s sad cause she don’t deserve to loose her job over something that can be done cause I have done it many times. this manager should train better and have better training to be a manager and have better customer service. There many other rentals don’t use budget
