  BEWARE! I have been a faithful Penske trucks rental customer for many years. But I will definitely be going back to Uhaul after my most recent experience. I needed a truck for early Sat morn returning on Sun. Lisa told me I could pick it up Fri around 2pm as they closed at 3pm and were not open on Sat. (Penske has made this accommodation for me 2 or 3 times in the past) It would be $49.99 a day + $45 for insurance. I paid a $300 deposit when I picked up the truck. Final charges would be charged to the deposit and the remaining balance would be credited back to my bank card. I called Lisa Mon. morn to tell her that my moving plans fell thru, I still had the truck and would return it that day, as soon as it was emptied. She said she woul have to charge me for one more day. I was fine with that. After unloading the truck, I noticed a notification from my bank that another $288 was paid out to Penske. (This overdraft my account) It was after business hours and had to wait to find out why. I returned the truck Monday evening around 9:30pm. Tue morning I received another notice from my bank that another $4.09 had been paid to Penske. I checked my email for my rental receipt (which has always been provided in the past), but did not find one. I contacted Lisa and she said she didn't have my email address so she was unable to send it. This was straight up BS! I KNOW I provided her with it at least twice (during my initial phone call to reserve and again at the counter when I picked up the truck). When I finally received the recept, I had been charged for 4 days of truck rental, 4 days of insurance ($180), and 4 days of Supplemental Insurance ($126). However, I was only charged for 3 days of misc fees (licensing recovery fee, and 2 others). I was also charged $1.29 per mile for 22 miles According to Google maps the total mileage would have been 13.5 miles (I only moved 1 load before returning the truck. My original agreement was use of the truck from Sat to Sun (1 day), I kept it until Mon (1 day)...2 days total (she told me she would have to charge me for the extra day and I wouldn't even have a problem paying for a 3rd day because it was after hours when I returned it. I blindly trusted Lisa at her word because Penske has ALWAYS been honest and treated me VERY well in the past. I spoke with someone from corporate on the phone. They said they could not help me; I would have to contact the rental office I went thru. When I called, Lisa was unavailable and the guy on the phone said he couldn't do much without talking to Lisa. He did agree to credit the $126 for the Supplemental insurance to my debit card. My calculations say that 3 days at $49.99 rental fees, $45 for 3 days of insurance and 13.5 miles at $1.29 per mile would be $303. Add 3 days of misc fees...not even close to the $592 that was taken from my bank account! What a scam! I will NOT use OR recommend Penske ever again! I will be reporting my complaint to the BBB and anywhere else I can possibly share this experience with.

  Penske is awesome and congenial nice and allowed me to drop my trailer while my truck was being fixed and the manager jim is a real person and willing to go above and beyond to make weird situations work out and to help and accommodate anybody that's standing in front of him

  Truck rental coming from florida was fine, but this location needs some work.. Be aware that despite the house they have listed here, they close the office 1130-1230 for lunch. That would have been good to know before using my lunch break to drop off the truck I rented. Instead, I stood outside in the cold until 1240, before locking up the truck and putting the key in the after house dropbox.. There wasn't an area marked to leave the truck in,so I left it as out of the way as I could without blocking any other cars in..
