  These fine folks have helped me to keep my Vintage self and 1978 RD400E on the road and running very well. HVC is THE place to find all the bits you need, and they keep bringing a wider selection of parts and services, consistently improving. Do yourself a favor, shop here first, they got it!

  Thank you for your response. I disagree with your characterization of me as a customer and stand by my review because it reflects my actual experience. Before bringing my motorcycle to your shop, I contacted several other repair shops. Some were upfront and honest that they did not have the proper tools, software, or capability to work on this particular issue. When I contacted your shop, I was told that you had the necessary equipment and expertise to diagnose and repair the motorcycle. Based on that, I chose to bring it to you. After dropping off the bike, I was surprised by how high the costs became. I was charged approximately $700 and was advised to purchase additional parts that cost me another $350. Despite those expenses, the original problem remained unresolved. What makes this even more frustrating is that after taking the motorcycle to an Aprilia dealer, I was informed that the issue was simply an unplugged wire. The dealer located and corrected the problem in roughly 30 minutes and charged me only $50. Given that outcome, it is difficult for me to understand how your shop concluded that major work was required, discussed replacing components, and still did not identify what turned out to be a relatively simple issue. I understand that diagnostics can be challenging and that not every repair leads to a successful result. However, from my perspective, I paid over $1,000 between labor and recommended parts while the actual issue remained undiagnosed until it was seen by the dealer. What concerns me most about your response is that rather than addressing these concerns, you chose to make personal comments about my character. Customers are entitled to share their honest experiences, and businesses are entitled to respond. I believe future customers can read both sides and decide for themselves whether the communication, pricing, diagnosis, and outcome I experienced are acceptable.
