  I was interested in purchasing the used 2021 Ranger VX1788 ($38,995.00) and did the financing through Bass Pro financing White River Financial Services and was approved for the loan on 7/16/2026. White River advised I should receive a call from BP sales within two hours of approval and if I didn’t hear to call them. I left a message a little over two hours of approval and again a couple hours later. I waited until the following day and ended up going out to the Lavista NE store. The salesman Jaxon Morgan was sitting at his desk with his hands crossed on the desk watching me walk to his desk. I advised I was there about the used Ranger and he replied that I must be Eric. He went to get the file from the cabinet, went back to the computer and said that they didn’t have a title for the boat. I asked how is the boat listed and financed without a title, he advised that they have the paperwork to obtain a title. I asked why there wasn’t a phone call to me? Jaxon said that he had a customer yesterday and his day ended. I asked about a call this morning. He advised that he was busy this morning. I asked for a call from his manager Dylan Divis. I went to the customer service desk and spoke to another manager who sent Dylan and his manager an email. Dylan called me back the next day. He told me that Jaxon is the reason that the boat center has done so well and is just a top notch employee. Dylan was very condescending and dismissed anything I had to say. He said I need to know if you are buying the boat or not. He said that they do have the boat title and just needed to get the trailer inspected per NE DOT. He said on the phone “it is what it is” I asked why Jaxon didn’t explain that and just said that you didn’t have the boat title. Dylan was supposed to get me the service records for the boat that I asked for. I asked that his manager call me and he said Cory the GM would call me the next day. Cory never did call. I went to BP/Cabella’s in Lavista today 7/22/26 around 1:30 to sign paperwork for the boat. I inspected the boat before going into the store. The boat was never cleaned up or vacuumed out from sitting on the lot. The boat interior was very dirty with leaf debris and just not clean. The front jack wheel was broken with three quarters of the wheel missing. The only thing the shop did was put the outboard prop back on. I walked inside and talked to Jaxon. I asked about keys for the boat and he found two keys. I asked if these were for the ignition or rod lockers. He said he didn’t know. He called the shop and was told they are the ignition keys. I asked about the rod locker keys and the response was we don’t have them. I asked about the service records for this boat and was told the customer was from Altoona IA and they could not get the service records from the BP in Altoona. I asked about the front jack wheel and said it is a used boat. I advised that I would not be singing for this boat and he said ok. I had purchased two other brand new boats from BP/Cabella’s, one in Lavista NE and one from Owatonna MN in the past 12 years. BP/Cabella’s could care less about the sale of their used boats or providing any sort of customer service. I would not recommend buying any boat from their location. The salesman was put out having to return my calls and the managers comment “it is what it is” tells you everything you need to know. I expect a boat to be in this condition buying off market place or Craigslist not from a company that sells boats and builds boats. BP should be embarrassed over losing a guaranteed sale and financing. You can see below from the response from BP. If BP would like to discuss this they can contact the Lavista store obtain my info and reach out. If you look at all the google reviews you will see this is the same response to everyone. They do not care enough to reach out to you directly. 8/5/26 I have not received a call or email from White River, Bass Pro or Ranger.

  Fishing pole for my birthday was pressured into buying a warranty. Lost the receipt and needed to use the warranty and they wouldn’t honor the warranty “it’s not in our system” now I’m out a 70$ fishing pole

  Really cool boating and outdoor section 🚤🌊😄 Places like this make road trips across America feel more fun and memorable 🇺🇸🚛 There’s something relaxing about walking around looking at boats, ATVs, fishing gear, and outdoor equipment 👀🎣🏕️ Even if you’re not shopping for anything serious, it’s still enjoyable just to explore 🙂 The atmosphere felt friendly and adventurous ✨ You can tell a lot of people come here because they genuinely love outdoor life, lakes, camping, and travel 🛶🌲🔥 I also liked that everything looked organized and easy to browse 👍 Definitely one of those stops where you plan to spend 10 minutes and somehow stay much longer 😂🛒☕
