We placed a $500 deposit on a brand-new camper that we were told was being built for us at the factory, with an estimated completion timeline of mid-April. As avid campers, timing is incredibly important to our family—we plan our entire season around it. After placing our deposit, communication from Camping World essentially disappeared. Multiple calls went unanswered, and we were unable to get any meaningful updates from their sales or finance team. Out of frustration, we contacted the manufacturer directly—only to find out the actual timeline was closer to mid-May at best, which is a significant difference from what we were originally told. That kind of delay simply does not work for our family and should have been clearly communicated upfront. To make matters worse, Camping World has now completely stopped responding to us regarding our $500 deposit. We never signed any agreements, yet we cannot get a single response on when—or if—we will receive our money back. We ultimately had to involve our bank to reverse the charge due to the lack of communication. The lack of transparency, poor follow-through, and complete disregard for customer communication made this an incredibly frustrating experience. While they do have a good selection of accessories, I would not recommend Camping World in Fargo for purchasing a camper, especially if you expect responsiveness, honesty, and professionalism.
