  **Don’t do it** This was the worst experience I’ve ever had - EVER. I originally scheduled an appointment online because I liked the price ($763.23) - it was cheaper than what I was quoted from a few other places. The day for the appointment came and my wife and I drove two vehicles an hour and a half to Fargo for the appointment (we were going to drop the vehicle off for a windshield replacement and go shopping in the other vehicle). We were over halfway to Fargo when Safelite called and said our windshield didn’t come in. We rescheduled an appointment for a technician to come to our house about a week later. When the technician arrived he had the wrong windshield. He was a great guy, very apologetic, and did everything he could to try to make the situation right. We rescheduled a 3rd appointment at the Fargo store location for today (July 2nd, 2026) because they didn’t have an appointment available for a technician to come the hour and a half out of Fargo again before the deadline of when I needed the windshield to be replaced by. I arrived at the store early and when I walked in the lady at the desk was very rude and told me the total was $1,593.45 and said “Go ahead and swipe your card”. Over double the amount of what I signed up for! I tried to talk to her but she kept cutting me off and wouldn’t listen to this terrible experience I was having with Safelite. I told her I wasn’t going to pay that much and I stepped outside to make a few calls and decide what I was going to do. I called the technician that came to my house just to ask him if he had any advice of what to do - he agreed the total amount should not be that high. I went back in originally to see if I could talk to a manager but the lady at the desk continued to be rude and kept cutting me off mid sentence so I told her to stop and just listen I’m trying to tell her something and she kept saying she can’t do anything. I started losing my cool because I couldn’t believe how I was being talked to and she told me I was the one bullying her for calling her out on being rude. She told me, with a nasty attitude, “If you don’t want to pay it you can go somewhere else”. So that’s exactly what I did. I called 2 other glass repair shops in Fargo and they both told me they also have heard other customers complain about Safelite and the first shop told me on the phone that I wasn’t the first person to call that same morning because of a bad experience at Safelite! Reading the positive reviews left here and I’m so glad other people had a great experience but I don’t think I’ll ever be returning.

  I've only delt with their mobile service, but I haven't had a single job done properly. And now they say they don't work on my 83 Eagle, when other safelites definitely have installed glass on Eagles. 1999 k1500 had windshield wash hoses crushed under cowl cover. 1991 V1500 had windshield wash hoses crushed under cowl cover and side window was left down with plastic covering it because the tech couldn't properly install the track making the window bind and not want to go up. Every one of these instances I've had to go back and fix their work myself which is frustrating when I pay for glass coverage.

  I’m given a 5-star review because the service itself is excellent, but the customer service is terrible. From start to end, the lady at the front desk was very mean in every aspect of her job communication with me.

  Richard did a fantastic job! He came to our house quite late in the day, around 8pm, which was completely fine with us, we were just happy to get our windshield fixed! He fixed our wiper blades that the previous technician had accidentally messed up by leaving a few parts out. I would recommend Richard and Safelite!
