I was very happy to find my vehicle was upgraded to a full sized SUV from the mid sized one I requested, even though I'm sure there weren't any mid sized ones available, which is why that happened. I already booked my next trip elsewhere and was happy to find that National is way cheaper than Avis ($200 less). In ND specifically, the customer service was great and I was happy that they checked in with me as to when I would be arriving, to confirm the vehicle would be ready for me. At the Dickinson airport, if they are not open when you arrive, they keep the key in a safe. You are given a code to open it but just remember to push the switch to the left when you try to open the safe. I didn't understand at first why it wasn't opening, but it's because the switch/lever needed to be moved to the left.

Booked a car and got a confirmation but no car and the desk was closed when we arrived. Absolutely appalling!! Don’t use National at Dickinson. Have since heard this has happened to many tourists.

Vehicle was ready to go on arrival. Very nice, clean, reliable and in perfect working order. Had some bad weather, but didn't have to worry about the vehicle letting me down.

The car given to me was dirty and had a horrible smoker's smell.

Had everything ready for me when I landed. I got the keys and the rundown in 60sec flat.
