- DMDennis MertzFeb 18, 20251.0I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with National Car Rental. I reserved a car in advance (Reservation #1671981210), only to arrive at the airport and find that no cars were available. When I contacted the 800 number, I was informed that there were no vehicles to rent despite my confirmed reservation. This last-minute issue forced me to rent from Hertz at three times the cost. To make matters worse, the Hertz representative mentioned that this is a common occurrence with National, which is deeply concerning. I made my reservation in good faith, expecting National to honor it. Instead, I was left stranded and forced to pay a premium for a last-minute alternative. I hope National addresses this issue to prevent this from happening to others in the future. I also expect proper compensation for the inconvenience and unexpected expense I incurred.
