- TNTanya NelsonMay 1, 20263.0I expect upselling when I go in, however after my last visit I’ll never return to a Valvoline location! A couple of more minor things that they led me to believe were major and needed doing NOW. I needed some other work done anyway, turns out my mechanic had no concern on immediacy for these two simple things (and it was a fuse, not bad wiring that caused my headlight to have gone out a few days prior). And easy repairs, not requiring taking their coupon next door for a “good discount”… But Valvoline also insisted I needed a rotation for my tires as they were wearing. The tires were 6 weeks old, less than 1500 miles on them, and nobody else has been able to find any wear issues on them. Valvoline has apparently turned into Jiffy Lube on the upsell for unnecessary repairs. I’ll go back to changing my own oil. At least the staff are always very pleasant!
