Hoped to never need to our windshield replaced. I called our insurance company, Erie Insurance, they listened and put me in immediate contact with Safelight. The process was simple and a convent appointment was made. Safelight kept me updated through messages and the technician advised me then he was on the way. The service was thorough and the technician both skilled and very friendly. I highly recommend this company

The technician did contact me, so he did his part on his end and kept the appointment. However the customer service at the office has gaps, and a perfect example of how AI is lowering the quality of our lives. One AI, but when I finally got in touch with the live representative, it got better. They are not in touch directly with the technician, so I am guessing as to whether the technician actually showed up while I was unavailable for a few minutes or if the technician had yet to show up. I had to rest because I was sick this day. It is better, I assume, just to bring it in.
From cost (no insurance coverage), to planning, to installation, the process could not have been any easier. My technician, Manuel, was friendly, fast and certainly knowledgeable. I don’t see how it could be done any differently or better than Safelite and Manuel did it. Highly recommended. BTW, it’s my 3rd windshield replacement with Safelite.

I'll preface the 1-star review by saying that Josh, who actually replaced the glass, did a great job. The installation went smoothly, and the window is working great.
Unfortunately, everything leading up to the installation was a mess. The third-party call service that originally scheduled the job apparently never completely finished scheduling it for the date I was given, which was already five days out. I only discovered that when I called the day before the supposed appointment because I hadn't received any updates or confirmation.
From there, dealing with either the call service or Safelite itself — it was honestly hard to tell who I was speaking with at times — became an exercise in frustration. There seemed to be either a serious problem with their logistics technology or simply a lack of communication and organization when it came to locating the actual glass and getting it to the installer.
At one point, no one seemed to know where it was or when it would arrive. Meanwhile, my installation date kept getting pushed back again and again — I believe four times in total.
There was also conflicting information about the pricing. The original Safelite phone agent specifically told me that, even though this wasn't a windshield replacement, two new wiper blades were included with the job at no additional cost. Later, one of the call center supervisors I spoke with — who ultimately ended up getting the job properly booked — told me the wiper blades were actually $29 each. It's a relatively small thing compared to the rest of the experience, but it's another example of how inconsistent the information was depending on who I happened to be talking to.
By the time the glass was finally installed, I had been driving around with house wrap covering the window for 12 days.
Again, Josh did a great job once the glass actually got to him. My 1-star rating isn't about the quality of his work; it's about the scheduling, communication, logistics, and overall experience it took just to get to that point.
Worst customer service I have ever experienced. 2 days in a row and no one showed up. This after 2 other delays due to part not arriving on time and then arriving broken. Having worked in high end customer service for many years, why would I not be the first customer appointment when the part arrived?? And now I check my portal and I have been scheduled to bring my car to the shop. Did anyone call to ask me if this works for me? No. Did anyone call to tell me why they did not show up today? NO. I demand a call first thing Monday morning and someone at my house getting my window fixed. It has been 2 weeks since this process started and I want this resolved.
