  I haven't owned a car in many years. And certainly, a lot has changed in terms of getting a simple car wash. I had no idea that you can have memberships and all the different options available. And Kate, at this location brought back some sanity and simplicity into getting a simple car wash. A shout out to Kate for pointing me in the right direction and going the extra mile. Steve

  Under new management! Manager Kate is amazing and I am so happy she is there. I have been a customer since the car wash opened under another name and other managers. I am happy to say Kate is handling it now and doing a great job!

  I wanted to share my experience with the Whistle Express Car Wash at 911 College Rd. in Wilmington so others are aware of what happened and how my claim was handled. I had been a monthly Unlimited Wash Club member and had been using this location regularly for over a year. Near the end of the wash, at the point where the conveyor pushes your vehicle out of the tunnel, I heard a loud noise that immediately caught my attention. After exiting the wash, I parked in the vacuum and drying area, as I normally do, to dry off my vehicle. While drying it, I noticed that both side skirts had separated from the vehicle and there were scratches running down both sides. This damage had not been there before entering the car wash. I reported the damage before leaving the property. The manager on duty inspected my vehicle, took photographs of the damage, and began completing an incident report. He explained that he could not make any decisions regarding the claim because everything had to be forwarded to corporate. He also told me he would need to complete the incident report later, after reviewing everything, before submitting it to corporate. I asked for a business card, but he told me he did not have one. He also explained that if I called the location directly, my call would simply be forwarded to corporate. Because the incident report would not be completed before I left, I asked if I could take a photo of the partially completed report so I would have documentation showing that I had reported the damage before leaving the property. He allowed me to do so. After that, I never received a phone call from anyone at the company regarding my claim. The only communication I received was through automated emails. My claim was ultimately denied. They said they completed a thorough investigation but when I asked what information had been reviewed in making that determination, I was told that any video footage would require a subpoena. I was also told their investigation included reviewing camera footage if available, but no one ever confirmed whether footage of my incident existed or what exactly was reviewed. Since then, I have obtained multiple repair estimates ranging from approximately $1,800 to $2,800 after having my vehicle physically inspected by several collision repair facilities. As a result, I canceled my monthly Unlimited Wash Club membership because I was disappointed with how the claim was handled, the lack of communication throughout the process, and the amount of time and effort it has taken to try to resolve an issue that I reported immediately. If anyone else has had a similar experience with the Whistle Express Car Wash at 911 College Rd. in Wilmington, I would be interested in hearing how it was handled. I would also welcome the opportunity to speak directly with the owner in hopes of reaching a fair resolution.
