I live in Brunswick Count, however I make the trek to Porters Neck Valvoline for every oil change and yearly car inspection because they bare absolutely amazing. From customer service to price to never waiting longer than needed this place is the best - I highly recommend giving them a try.

Over the past 10 years I have been getting my oil changes, and inspections done at the site in Porters Neck. During this time I have been satisfied with the technicians and the services performed but my last visit was not a happy one. After receiving my oil change and oil filters a few weeks after my visit my neighbor informed me that something was hanging from underneath my vehicle. Upon inspecting, the gasket cover or whatever it is called was actually damaged and you could clearly see it had to be done during the last oil change. It cost me $345.00 to get that cover replaced by Ford and today when taking my truck to Ford for a vehicle recall during the inspection it revealed a damage bolt which has caused leakage which cost me $250.00 for repairs. I am not sure I will be bringing my vehicle back to this place.

Oil change went great. The cabin air filter replacement went south but I do have to say, after being persistent with the tech he fixed the issue correctly. Back to the what the tech did. First he snatched the glove box open, dumping part of contents on the floor. Showed me the cabin air filter and agreed to have it changed since he was already in there. When reassembly time came, the tech could not get the shocks on the glove compartment reinstalled correctly, so he pulled them off and threw them in my glovebox. I told him I wanted it like it was before I arrived. Tech was really frustrated with me wanting the glovebox slow open fixed like it should be. I informed another tech about it and he looked at it but did not assist in resolving issue at hand. Original tech came back and tinkered with the shocks and was able to get it working. Why would your tech just throw the glove box shocks in the glove box thinking I wouldn't see his screw up, but I was sitting in my truck watching. I hope this isn't your normal operating procedures. I shouldn't have to request nor be persistent with your tech to fix what he undid. How would you like your truck disassembled like nothing ever happened? To be honest, I should get a free service after the crap I went through instead of a 20% discount. Hope this can be resolved, I would like to visit the Valvoline shop in the future but after this incident, makes me wonder what other shortcuts are being taken when services are performed at this location.

Go elsewhere. Last time I went here for an oil change they didn't check any of my other levels, didnt check my tires, didnt check my filters, didnt check my wipers, and didnt even show me the oil level on my dipstick. I had to ask twice to have my tire pressure checked and he made it seem like an inconvenience. They were more interested in eating their food and joking around than actually working. Paid over a $100 for the most basic work and feeling like you were bothering them by coming in for an oil change. Go to Take 5 everyone.
