  Very disappointed by this location. As an Executive Member, I expect the level of service I’m accustomed to: fast, knowledgeable, and well-trained staff. 1. The first vehicle I was given (a Chevy Trailblazer) broke down twice during my rental. 2. Roadside assistance advised me that it would be better to drive the vehicle back to ILM rather than wait hours for a tow truck. 3. Once I arrived back at the airport, Emily provided me with a replacement vehicle and offered free fuel for the inconvenience. I appreciated that gesture, although I would have also expected a discount on the rental itself. 4. I returned the replacement vehicle approximately one hour earlier than my scheduled return time. I handed the keys to a woman at the desk who told me I did not need to wait in line for the return process. She said she would check the vehicle in for me and email me a receipt. I never received a receipt. 5. Later, I received a notification stating that my vehicle was overdue and had not been returned. 6. I contacted customer service twice, and both times I was told they could not contact the location directly and that they had to open a ticket instead. 7. The rental contract was finally closed a day and a half later. I was then charged for fuel and for returning the vehicle hours after the expected drop-off time. 8. I now have to contact customer service for a third time to have these incorrect charges reversed, despite having timestamped photos showing when I dropped the vehicle off, along with the original rental agreement showing I was allowed to return the vehicle with an empty fuel tank. This entire experience was frustrating from start to finish. Between being given a vehicle that broke down twice, the mishandling of my return, the lack of communication, and the repeated calls required to correct these issues, this location has completely lost my trust. I will never be renting from this location again. Please invest in better training and accountability for your staff.

  I rented a SUV at ILM Airport , Wilmington NC , i arrived late at night after travelling 22 hours . I was greeted with a smile and hello and offered the vhoice of three SUV s , i made my coice quickly signed paperwork and was out of the airport in minutes . When I returned , I was also greeted with a smile and hello which i appreciated . I found the staff to be excellant and my vdhicle was clean and troublefree. I would recomend National and will rent from them again . Many thanks National the best rental experience i have had .

  I have rented from this location more times than I can count and although every experience hasn't been perfect, it's never been due to the customer service. I want to recognize Deb and Angel specifically because they have always made sure I am taken care of. At the airport you have a plethora of car rental choices but because of these two lovely ladies, I only recommend National. Thank you both for your years of customer service, it is greatly appreciated.
