It was a Sunday and with everything closed I didn’t know what to do. I went to advanced auto parts and Mike took a look at my car. Even though he wasn’t able to help me, he was able to call Jason, a mobile mechanic who got there in less than 20 minutes and was able to help me in an efficient fashion for a cheap price instead of having my car towed. They were very kind and professional and I’m so grateful for their help!

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
