  Had a great experience at Valvoline! The team was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to walk me through my options without making me feel pressured. The service was incredibly fast and efficient. I was able to sit comfortably in my car, sip my iced coffee, and relax while they took care of everything. The whole process was easy, convenient, and stress-free. Wonderful service all around—I’ll definitely be back! 🚗☕️👏

  On 6/20/26 I took my car to the Surf City, NC Valvoline for an oil change since I was in the area and needed one. I expressed concern about an existing oil leak and asked if they carried oil filters specifically for my vehicle, a hybrid Hyundai Tucson. I was assured that the oil filters in stock would be sufficient and that the existing leak would be addressed. I was satisfied with the service at the time and attention to detail. However, not long after the leak returned and was worse than before. On 6/30/26 I visited the Valvoline shop in Garner, NC and was told that I had a faulty oil filter but due to “franchise restrictions” the Garner shop was unable to make it right. I immediately contacted the Surf City shop, two hours away, and explained the issue. I was told that management would be contacting me to make it right. I never heard from management. I contacted the Surf City shop again yesterday (7/2/26) to ask for an update and was told again, management would reach out. No one has contacted me and after spending over $140 for a service I was assured would be successful but still failed I’m incredibly frustrated, disappointed, and would never subject anyone I know to this company. I now have to pay for another oil change to get the filter fixed. Do not go to Valvoline for anything.

  Changed my oil and was helpful but then refused to talk to me when I call to ask them a question with the person who assisted me. Very strange…

  I have been a Valvoline customer for many years in a different part of NC so I was very happy to see one open in Surf City. I have been twice and most recently been helped by Jack, a top associate who took the time not only to tell me that I had an oil leak, but to take a picture of the area beneath the car and explain the problem. He even added a written analysis on the receipt so I could take it to a mechanic shop. Impressive!!! Thanks Jack!!
