Made me spend 120 on just an oil change, tried to say my battery was bad, tried to charge me 60 dollars for a cabin filter… such a scam

Went in for an inspection. In/out in 15 mins. Most of the time was the tech working with the government website inputting information.

As a teenage girl who comes in alone, I’m honestly starting to feel like this place sees me as an easy target. Every single time I come in for a basic oil change, someone suddenly finds a laundry list of expensive things I supposedly need. This time, they tried to sell me nearly $1,250 worth of additional services, including $450 spark plugs and a $500 brake job. What really made me question it was when I asked an older man sitting beside me if they constantly came out to him trying to sell him a bunch of expensive services. He said no. Funny how that works. So yes, it’s hard not to notice a pattern when I’m young, female, and alone, and somehow I’m repeatedly the one being handed hundreds or thousands of dollars in “recommended” services. Being a teenage girl does not mean I’m stupid, clueless, or an easy paycheck. I’ll be getting a second opinion on everything they told me and taking my business elsewhere. I suggest other customers, especially young women, do the same.
