VMW performed my state inspection today; I called this morning and got an appointment this afternoon. They were kind, courteous and had my inspection completed in less than an hour. Their communication is top tier. As soon as I got off the phone with them, I received a text confirming my appointment and they continued to text me updates during the process, including when they finished. This is a family-owned and operated business. They’re local. And they are competent. The bays were clean. I spoke to the staff about my love for my car and the eccentricities of German vehicles in general. They love German cars too! I’m definitely going to give Village Motor Works a shot the next time I need service on my VW Golf Alltrack. They deserve five stars.

I've know most of the previous owners of this location, and Bill of Cameron Village Auto did a lot of repairs on my Aerostars after he moved to this location. His work was great, but he retired. Recently I was gifted a 2011 Cadillac DTS, and took it to the local Cadillac dealership for new headlights and fixing a leak in the sunroof. I spent about $7K on the repairs, and begun thinking I could not afford this car. The dealer did not fix my leak in the sunroof. Tried fixing it myself with no luck, I took it to Melody at Village Motor Works, who has so much knowledge about cars, I thought I was on the set of "My Cousin Vinnie" She said no problem to fix the car, and fixing all four sunroof drains was 1/4th what I paid the local Caddy dealer who didn't fix just clearing the front ones. The last owners mostly worked on German cars, so when I found Village had new owners, and had the ability to work on American and also older cars without gouging, it made me very happy. My car was fixed within a day of meeting Melody - the manager, and now I know I can keep driving my 2011 Cadillac with 7100 miles until I get too old to drive - I'm almost 78 now. I grew up knowing a trusted mechanic at the local gas station was a real thing, and I feel like I have stepped back into that past where real people did real things for real value because they cared. Yay for Village Motor Works on 234 S. Boylan Ave, Raleigh. Got a car problem stop by and tell them Jarles sent you

Village Motor Works was very professional and expedient! Communication was great, and they did great work on my van. I'm a big fan when a business makes a real effort to keep you updated, and they did a fantastic job with that. I will certainly be returning when I need additional work, and sending other fleet members here as well!
