I had the best experience at Safelite AutoGlass. Setting up the appointment was easy. I had the best customer service and technican to perform the replacement. I was a little skeptical because I went on a day before we were to get alot of rain and was afraid that there would be cracks and/or leaks in my new windshield and my vehicle would be ruined.
I was worried for nothing and overall everything worked out.
Thank you so much for your great service and I highly recommend them!

My windshield was struck by a small rock coming up from the highway on June 4, 2026 on I-83 north of Baltimore, MD. This resulted in a large crack across the driver's side of the windshield. I called my insurance company that evening to report the incident and was directed to Safelite.
Once I returned to North Carolina, I went to my first Safelite appointment on June 12, 2026 on Meridien Dr in Raleigh and the windshield was replaced and the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) was successfully recalibrated. Unfortunately, prior to leaving Safelite, I inspected the work and it was noted that the "new" windshield had a preexisting scratch on the passenger side. Safelite acknowledged the defect and scheduled me for a second appointment on a later date to have a second "new" windshield placed.
On July 8, 2026, Safelite replaced the first scratched windshield with a second windshield. The second windshield had no scratch or noticeable defects. However, Safelite was unable to successfully recalibrate the ADAS safety features and told me I needed to come back for a third appointment.
On July 23, 2026, I retuned to Safelite and they stated that the same piece of secondary market glass had been ordered so there was no reason to attempt to install a third windshield in an attempt to fix the problem. Safelite did attempt to recalibrate the ADAS safety system on this third visit, but the attempt failed.
All I am aksing for is a windshield with no preexisting defects and a functioning ADAS system. Please address and correct the problem. My insurance has paid Safelite and I had paid my portion back on June 12, 2026.

Terrible experience with onsite technicians and customer service representatives when I called home office. Windshield was replaced at my business. Upon leaving that day and starting the car, three warning lights came on along with alarms. I called Safelight and they sent another technician out, but it was 10 days later. I was told by home office that the recalibration on my car was not done and that was reason for recalibration. This technician said he couldn't get the warning lights to go off, either. I called Safelight two other times and was told I would receive a return phone call in 24-48 hours, but this never happened. Upon my third phone call, I was told by Mary that the warning lights must have been on before I had my windshield replaced. This was an insane assumption and can't believe a csr would tell someone this, but the incompetency of not being able to follow-up on the previous phone calls seems to be par for the course. If you "google" the warning lights that I was receiving there are links to this happening with Safelight consistently. I finally took my car to a mechanic who told me that wrong windshield was put in my car and there's no way the recalibration would take place. So.....next I went to a Safelite Garage. They replaced my windshield with the correct windshield, but tried to bill my insurance again and collect a second payment. However, the car would still not recalibrate and I was told I would have to take the car to an Audi dealership. I took the car to Audi where is was discovered that Safelite had broken the connector that is used to connect the computer to perform the recalibration. Upon discovering this Audi, replaced the connector and Safelite did pay for this. The customer service I received at the Safelite garage was fine. The customer service on the phone couldn't have been worse. This entire process should have taken an hour. Instead, the wrong windshield was put in my car. The computer connector was broken and I was not informed this was done. I had a technician come to where I worked twice. I place 4 phone calls to their customer service. I went to Safelite's garage twice. i had to go to Audi once.. All to get a windshield correctly installed and calibrated. The entire process started June 3rd and wasn't completed until July 17th.

On 7/14/26 I came to Safelite to have my windshield replaced. Without an appointment they couldn't get the job done so I managed to book an appointment for them to come to me. Gave all the instructions at the office as for my vehicle and technician to have. On 07/16/26 technician comes to my location but never does the job because no notes were put in indicating the doors are unlocked and the fob is inside. I got a message from the tech stating he showed up but didn't do the job. If his other jobs are completed then he could possibly circle back around. Received an email a couple of hours later stating job was completed however when I looked at the receipt it was for another vehicle same make and model wrong tags and odometer readings. So... no show back and no return call to reschedule. Called again on 07/17/26 to see if they were coming out and no call no show response nor any corresponding emails to state what's going on or what they will do to compensate. Customer service stated they were open on 07/18/26 and booked my appointment for service. Showed up at 930 day of appointment only to be told we don't have your windshield. So I personally wasted 5 days for nothing. Give me my money back for poor service and communication. This is the worst experience I've ever had with Safelite and I've been dealing with them for years on all of my previous vehicles.

I dropped my car off at Safelite on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. for a windshield replacement. I want to begin by saying that Dana, the receptionist, deserves 5 stars for her outstanding customer service. She was professional, courteous, and genuinely committed to making things right. Cliff, the technician who handled the repair after the problem was discovered, also deserves recognition for his quick response and professionalism.
Unfortunately, my one-star rating reflects the quality of the original windshield installation—not the customer service.
On Friday, July 10, 2026, at approximately 1:15 p.m., while driving on Glenwood Avenue and heading out of town, I suddenly heard a loud banging on the roof of my vehicle. The noise was so unexpected that it nearly caused a serious accident. I pulled into the next gas station to investigate and discovered that the trim across the top of my windshield had come loose and was hanging by a small section. I removed the loose trim, placed it in my back seat, and drove straight back to Safelite.
Dana and Cliff immediately took care of the issue, ordered a replacement trim, and had me safely back on the road within an hour so I could continue my trip. Their response was excellent.
However, this dangerous situation should never have happened in the first place. The fact that the windshield trim was not properly secured during the initial installation shows a lack of attention to detail that could have had very serious consequences.
This one-star review is not a reflection of the front office staff or the employees who corrected the problem. It reflects the poor workmanship of the original installation and the unnecessary safety risk it created.
