Just had to have my windshield replaced this afternoon and everyone was so friendly. Steven has such a kind heart and you can really tell he loves what he does; even after a long day! Thanks again to all the crew who got me fixed up smoothly!

I had a rock ding my front windshield, my insurance covered the repair and safelight was through and reasonably quick with the repair. Told me it would likely still be visible but would prevent the spread or running crack. The result was completely unnoticeable, im excited- Yay!

This is the new windshield they installed today and told me it would be next week before they could replace it. My original appointment was last Monday and the technician had the incorrect windshield, and didn't have the equipment to calibrate it anyway. I was told it was rescheduled for this past Monday. I called two times to confirm. Both times I was told that no one at the store was answering the phone and they'd message the manager. Never heard from anyone. I called a third time on Monday and was scheduled for today. The technician told me today after breaking the new windshield that someone would contact me and it would be on the schedule for next Monday. I called the 800 number again to schedule the appointment to replace what they did today and they couldn't get a hold of anyone at the shop. Seriously! Take your business anywhere but to Safelite.

Subject: Urgent Complaint – Unsafe & Unprofessional Windshield Repair (Raleigh, NC Location)
Dear Safelite Group Customer Care Team,
I am writing to formally report a serious service failure and safety concern involving the Safelite location at 3070 Business Park Drive, Suite 114, Raleigh, NC 27610.
My wife had a windshield repair/replacement performed at this location under the supervision of the store manager, Steve. She was at the shop for over three and a half hours, which was already significantly longer than expected. Unfortunately, the situation became far more concerning after she left the facility.
Shortly after departing, she discovered that the windshield was not properly secured in the brackets and was visibly loose and shifting (“flopping”), creating an immediate and dangerous safety hazard while driving.
She immediately attempted to contact the shop by phone but received no answer. Acting responsibly, she turned around and returned to the location, only to find that the shop had already closed for the day just minutes after she left, leaving her with an unsafe vehicle and no support.
This situation is unacceptable for several reasons:
A vehicle was released in an unsafe, undrivable condition
There was no post-service quality assurance
No availability or support when a critical issue was reported immediately after service
A clear lack of professionalism and accountability at the management level
We entrusted Safelite with a repair that directly impacts vehicle safety, and instead, my wife was placed in a potentially dangerous situation.
Resolution Requested

I brought my vehicle in for a windshield replacement due to a small crack. It wasn’t severe, but I take pride in keeping my car in excellent condition, so I chose to replace it rather than leave any damage.
After comparing multiple quotes, I decided to trust Safelite, even though their price was higher than average. I scheduled the service, left my car there for the entire day so there would be no rush, and chose the premium option, paying $948 out of pocket for the service, including new wipers and water-repellent treatment.
When I returned to pick up my vehicle, before even getting inside, I immediately noticed something was wrong. The front passenger door was damaged, the fender on the same side was dented, and there was visible paint damage.
I called an employee to look at it. I was told the manager had already left, photos were taken, and I was asked to return the next day.
In addition to the exterior damage, the interior was left in unacceptable condition. There was dirt all over the dashboard, and some kind of product had run down the inside of the driver’s door panel, leaving marks that do not come off. The passenger door now does not open properly due to the fender damage.
When I returned the next day, the manager initially denied responsibility, stating the damage was already there and refusing to cover it. He also dismissed the interior issues, claiming the substance was not from their materials and referring to the dirt as “just a little mess.”
After requesting the pre-inspection photos, another employee reviewed the situation and confirmed that the damage was not visible in those photos. I was then told a claim would be submitted and that, at minimum, partial assistance for repairs might be possible.
As of today, over a month later, I have not received a single call or email. My vehicle remains damaged, and no one has taken responsibility.
This experience was extremely disappointing. I paid a premium price expecting a higher level of care and professionalism, and instead my vehicle was returned in worse condition than it was delivered.
If you are considering bringing your vehicle here, I strongly recommend documenting everything beforehand and inspecting your car thoroughly afterward. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location.
