  Dropped off my car at 815am, no update until 3pm when I called and they said they just started on it. Came back at 5pm when they close and still not ready. Finally at 545pm they give me my keys. Car is filthy, glue shavings everywhere on dash and in front seat, and it has a horrible body odor smell inside now. Terrible experience.

  Our technician was excellent. He arrived on time and completed the window replacement before unexpected rain arrived. He even removed our Easy Pass sticker from the old windshield and attached it to the new one without being asked. I had totally forgotten to do it myself, but he was doing it before I realized I forgot. He also reattached my phone dock to the new windshield without being told to do so. He addressed these details as part of the job and thought of things I did not think of. Excellent, quick customer service and will use again if needed.

  The technician was professional and courteous. He did the best he could with the repair. The issue is that I did not request or receive wiper blades and rain repellent but I was charged for them. I called and did not receive a call back. Horrible customer service. I would not recommend it unless you don’t mind being overcharged for services you don’t request or receive.

  There were three failed attempts to replace the front windshield on my Nissan truck, the first time they forgot to secure the trim, the second time they cracked the window installing the trim, the third time they didn’t use sealant on a large section of the windshield so I’m hoping the fourth time works. This is at the Meridian Road location in Raleigh. Zero apologies, zero attempts to make me happy and each time they say “well it’s covered under warranty “ but they fail to realize a poor installation is not a warranty issue.

  I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I scheduled a repair for a small windshield chip that was less than the size of a dime. The technician arrived, spent approximately five minutes on the repair, and left. In fact, the text message updates I received show the start and completion times as the exact same time. The technician did not explain the repair process, discuss any risks, or provide any post-service instructions. About an hour later, when I got into my vehicle, I discovered a large Y-shaped crack extending from the area that had been repaired. Prior to the service, there was only a small chip; afterward, there was a significant crack requiring windshield replacement. What is most frustrating is that Safelite is refusing to replace the windshield unless I pay my insurance deductible, despite the damage occurring immediately after their repair service. I hired Safelite to fix a minor issue, not turn it into a much larger and more expensive problem. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend their chip repair service.
