Extremely bad customer service. I booked the reservation almost a week prior for the car to picked up at 10AM.
When I reached the location, the Rep told me car was in the wash so needed some time to prep up. As I waited, the rep decided to leave without acknowledging the fact that I was still waiting. Fast forward 50min later, there was no front desk so I asked the Manager about my reservation, and her response was my car was second in line for wash.
Firstly the reservation was at 10AM which means they had enough time to prep. Secondly if they had no cars available, they should told me instead of blatantly lying on my face.
Lastly, when I complained, Manager’s response was “we are moving at the best pace”.
This is a very unprofessional behavior. I cancelled my reservation and booked through another rental place as I was getting delayed for my business trip.
I would skip this place altogether until they figure out their priorities.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. However, I had to wait an hour and a half after my scheduled pickup and I didn't receive the right size car. Still had to pay standard price for a midsize. Could be worse though.

I was disappointed with my experience because the reservation process was misleading. I specifically reserved a convertible online because the website showed this location offered one. The day before my pickup, I called to confirm my reservation and was told they don't carry convertibles at all.
It was frustrating to find out less than 24 hours before my reservation that I wouldn't be getting the vehicle I selected. If I hadn't called ahead, I wouldn't have known until I arrived. I understand that vehicle availability can change, but the website should accurately reflect what's available, or customers should notify customers as soon as possible.
That said, I want to recognize Corbin for providing excellent customer service. He was friendly, professional, and did his best to help make the situation better. If you visit this location, I definitely recommend talking with him!
I don't know what has changed over the past few months, but this location has really gone downhill. I used to be a loyal customer, but my recent experiences have been incredibly frustrating due to three major issues:
Check In Delays: I used to wait less than 5 minutes to check out. Last time, I waited nearly 30 minutes in a virtually empty lobby with only one other customer.
Billing Errors: For my last two rentals, instead of dropping the deposit and charging the rental fee upon return, they recharged my card for the entire rental amount plus another deposit.
App & System Failures: Even though I book through the app, my rentals are no longer tracking. There’s no record, no receipt, and no points added to my profile after drop-off. Last time, I had to call customer service a week later just to get them to manually close the rental and credit my points. I am currently on day 3 of waiting for my latest rental to close out, and it looks like I'll have to call corporate again.
Management seriously needs to look into the recent operational changes at this branch and fix these glitches.
BEWARE of this location on South Wilmington St specifically. I rarely leave negative reviews as I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but I was so shocked by the manager at this location I feel the need to warn others. We had a reservation for a minivan at 9am on June 18th for a family vacation. By the time we were ready to pick up the van at 10am he had given our van away to somebody else. Their claim was that a reservation was irrelevant once you are late for the initial pickup time. No call to ask if we were still coming. Just someone else walked in without a reservation asking for a van and they gave them the one we had reserved. The manager showed zero empathy that he just ruined our trip as we were ready to hit the road. Gave no apology. Just said “it’s gone” and “we are busy” How this person is in charge of things is simply baffling. When I asked if they could check if any other locations had a van they said no you can call each location and ask yourself! After calling other locations they all agreed that is not how they deal with reservations. I ended up contacting a location 30 minutes from my house on Durham Chapel Hill Blvd and they were amazing and worked ro rectify the situation immediately even though it wasn’t their mistake. They basically did everything the first manager should have done in this situation. If you want to avoid a nightmare situation similar to mine avoid this location.
