  My mother came to get a refund on the brake pads but we had to come back to re purchase after talking to a mechanic. The card-reader stated “remove card”, and as a person who can not only read and comprehend, I assume that means take the card out of card reader. After being accused of taking the card out early, this assistant manager says it’s in “limbo mode”. She was no help at all, along with her pissy attitude, and as a person who has worked in retail I would not want her leadership in any store. Now the 3rd time coming back to the store the young lady there was really nice and way better than whoever that assistant manager was.

  On April 8, 2026, I came in to purchase 3 new wiper blades for my car. The gentleman who rang me up also kindly installed them for me, with small issues along the way, so he had to use the old fittings to put the new wipers on because the new fittings weren't secure. Before I left, I specifically asked his name and he said William, because I had planned to leave a grateful review for him in particular. Fast forward to this morning, 4/26/26, and my driver's side wiper flew off on the highway. I called and asked about getting a replacement but I'm not sure if I have my receipt, which would also likely have the name of who assisted me that day. I was told that "Will hasn't worked here for over a month", which is completely untrue, and the best they could do is give me 10% off another blade. If I would have installed them myself, I wouldn't even bother anyone with it, that would be on me. Not sure why I have make yet another purchase for something I already paid for and didn't install myself, and I have a screenshot of the day of my purchase from my bank statement. I've used Auto Zone for over 20 years and I've never had an issue like this. Now I'm just done. 2 stars only because I'm still thankful that ***WILLIAM*** took the time out of his day, with a smile, to install the wipers for me on April 8th, because he was very much still working there at the time and I didn't imagine some dude that just happened to leave the job there before I made my purchase.

  Went for a new battery and Ed was awesome. Very personable and competent. Ed was backed up with other installs and I expected to wait. Ed professionally explained he was backed up, yet got to my battery quicker than expected. Was very quick, thorough, and professional. Will definitely go back to this Auto Zone as a direct result of the service I received from Ed at the Auto Zone in Oxford, NC...
