  RDU location has an amazing staff and is run professionally and seamlessly. Every person I witnessed at the counter was in and out in a matter of minutes. They were escorted to their car or given their choice of cars to choose from. Devon is who I encountered most. He is compassionate and respectful professional and clearly cares about people. Everything about this location was top notch! I couldn’t tell who was in charge because everyone worked wherever help was needed and communicated well to get the job done. The car inventory was abundant . I drove a 2026 Honda accord that performed well on my three hour drive to Charlotte. Great amenities and features that made the ride comfortable and safe. RDU National Rental Car definitely made me rethink my usual choice in rental companies. I have never experienced such a welcoming professional environment at any rental car location as I did at RDU National. Thanks to ALL who made my experience one I’ll never forget!

  Booked an 8-passenger van through Emerald Club for a family trip and got a 2026 Honda Odyssey with very low mileage — vehicle was clean, well-maintained, and perfect for the family. Emerald Club pickup was fast and hassle-free, no lines, no waiting. Overall an excellent experience and exactly why I keep choosing National. Highly recommend!

  Formal Complaint – Unacceptable Vehicle Cleanliness, Reservation #244043985 To the National Car Rental Customer Service Team, I'm writing to express my strong disappointment with the condition of the pickup truck I rented from RDU on July 3rd, 2026. This experience fell well below any reasonable standard of cleanliness and service. Upon picking up the vehicle, I found the cab and truck bed in an appalling state. There was spoiled food left inside, soiled diapers, and sticky, unidentified substances throughout the cab. This is not a minor detailing oversight — it's a basic health and sanitation failure that should never make it past your inspection process before a vehicle is handed to a customer. Because of the state of the truck, my kids and I had to spend time cleaning it ourselves before I could even use it, and again after I returned it from the airport — time that came directly out of my workday. This inconvenience, on top of the unsanitary conditions themselves, is simply unacceptable for a rental of this cost and a brand I've trusted before. I do want to note that this situation followed Enterprise Rent-A-Car's cancellation of two consecutive reservations that I had made months in advance, with minimal notice, leaving me scrambling at the last minute. Your front desk representative deserves real credit here — despite the circumstances, they worked hard to find me a vehicle on short notice and handled the situation professionally. That part of my experience was a bright spot; the condition of the vehicle itself was not. I'm requesting the following: 1) A full explanation of how a vehicle in this condition passed your return/inspection process 2) A full refund reflecting the disruption and cleaning time this cost me and my family 3) Confirmation of what corrective steps will be taken at this location I have documentation of the vehicle's condition and am happy to provide it.   Horrible experience in RDU. I am a loyal, Executive level National person. My usual experiences are very good but my recent one in Raleigh was a disaster. Upon arrival to the Executive lane there were no cars. I waited 20 minutes and was given a horrible vehicle (older Nissan Versa). I had to get to a meeting to I just took it. Once driving, I realized the driver’s seats was absolutely soaked. I had to stop at my hotel and change which made me late. I called National to give them feedback as was essential dismissed. Do better.

  During my recent visit to N.C., it was necessary for my family to rent a vehicle. We chose National, as the reviews were very good. I rarely participate in writing reviews, however, the gentleman that assisted us with the rental exchange was outstanding and made writting this review worth taking the time to do so. The gentleman's name is Larry Autry and works at the Morrisville, N.C. location. He was very attentive, helpful, kind and thorough. He gave the beginning of our trip a positive start.
