The manager at the Enterprise location in Mooresville is singlehandedly damaging this business. What we experienced was not a minor customer service issue — it was blatant disrespect, aggression, and complete unprofessionalism from someone who should not be managing customers or employees.
My father and I went to this location the day before pickup to make sure everything was handled correctly for a one-way rental. One of the employees instructed us to complete the reservation online, reviewed it on my phone himself, and assured us everything looked good. The next day we arrived to find out the reservation had defaulted to a same-location return, increasing the cost from around $55 to over $200 because important information was never explained to us.
When I politely asked why this had not been communicated, the manager immediately became confrontational and started accusing me of calling his employee a liar, which I never did. Instead of listening, taking accountability, or attempting to resolve the situation professionally, he escalated the entire interaction with arrogance and hostility.
What made the situation even worse was that after we agreed to move forward and pay the higher amount despite their mistake, the manager still refused to rent us a vehicle and threw us out of the store. He spoke over everyone constantly and would not even allow his own employees to explain the situation.
No customer should be treated this way. A manager represents the culture of a business, and if this location continues operating under this kind of leadership, it will continue losing customers. We immediately went to Avis at CLT Airport and received calm, respectful, and competent service. Enterprise Mooresville lost our business permanently.

I have never written a review like this before, but the behavior we experienced from the manager at Enterprise Mooresville absolutely deserves to be addressed publicly.
My family followed the exact instructions given to us by one of their employees regarding a one-way rental reservation. We completed the booking online, showed the employee everything before leaving, and were told we were good to go. The next day we arrived and discovered the reservation had been processed incorrectly because the system defaulted to a same-location return, causing the total cost to increase substantially.
Rather than acknowledging the confusion or helping resolve the issue professionally, the manager immediately inserted himself into the conversation with hostility and aggression. He accused us of calling his employee a liar when no such accusation was ever made. There was no attempt at customer care, no professionalism, and no interest in solving the problem.
He repeatedly interrupted everyone involved, spoke over both customers and employees, and ultimately denied us service completely despite the fact that we had already agreed to pay the inflated amount. Watching someone abuse their position that way was honestly shocking.
Enterprise should be deeply concerned about having someone with this attitude representing their brand. We left, rented from Avis at CLT Airport without a single issue, and will never return to this Enterprise location again.
It was a complete failure in professionalism, accountability, and management.
An employee at Enterprise Mooresville instructed us to complete our one-way rental online. We completed the reservation in front of him, and he confirmed everything was correct. The next day we discovered the reservation had defaulted to a same-location return, increasing the price dramatically. Instead of addressing the mistake professionally, the manager immediately became hostile the moment we asked why the information had not been explained correctly.
Without allowing a normal conversation to happen, he began accusing us of “calling his employee a liar,” despite the fact that nobody used those words. He escalated the situation unnecessarily, interrupted constantly, and would not even allow his own staff to explain themselves.
The most disturbing part was that even after we accepted the higher price to move forward and avoid further issues, the manager refused us service entirely and ordered us out of the store. That is not customer service. That is ego-driven behavior from someone who clearly lacks the temperament required to manage people or represent a national company.
We rented through Avis at CLT instead and experienced the exact opposite: professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency. Enterprise should understand that managers like this do not just lose one transaction — they damage the company’s reputation long term.
If Enterprise values its reputation in the Mooresville area, corporate leadership should seriously reconsider who they allow to manage this location. The manager we dealt with displayed some of the worst customer service and leadership behavior I have ever witnessed.
My father and I visited this location on Saturday to arrange a one-way rental for Sunday pickup. An employee instructed us to complete the reservation online. We did exactly that, showed him the reservation on my phone, and he confirmed everything looked correct before we left. What he failed to explain was that the app automatically assumes the vehicle will be returned to the same location if a drop-off location is not entered elsewhere, which was not clearly available in the app. The price increased from approximately $55 to over $200 overnight.
When I calmly asked why this was never disclosed to us, the manager aggressively interrupted the conversation and falsely accused me of calling his employee a liar. At no point did I use that word. Questioning misinformation is not an attack on someone’s character.
What followed was unacceptable. The manager repeatedly raised his voice, refused to let his own employees speak, and behaved as though basic accountability was a personal insult. Even after we agreed to pay the increased amount despite their mistake, he refused service and told us to leave.
That type of conduct does not belong in management, especially in a customer-facing business. We immediately rented from Avis at CLT Airport instead and received professional, respectful service within minutes. Enterprise Mooresville permanently lost our business and our recommendation.
The only reason why I am leaving a one star review is because the only way to leave a review is to leave a star, one star to me is too many, what I experienced yesterday trying to pick up my reservation was disgusting. I can’t even put the woman’s name who didn’t want to assist me from the beginning (she would not provide her name or card) she automatically approached and asked the white man in the lobby Do they want Assistance before she even asked all in the lobby you immediately went to the white man because I already was defensive being a African-American woman, my interaction with this woman was already at a bad point before it even got started.
She wanted me to beg her to rent me the car.
She wanted me to kiss her butt to be able to rent this car and that was not happening. All you have to do is talk to someone with sympathy, empathy, and care which is part of your mission statement Enterprise but this so-called Manager did not display it in the interaction that we had yesterday she not only embarrassed me in front of her employees. She also embarrassed me in front of customers and I do feel that that was her goal and intent for her to be a manager and to be a district or regional manager and not want to give me her name and intentionally not want to rent to me. She did not want to de-escalate the situation she wanted the situation to get worse and I do feel as if she is one of the descriptions of a (Karen)and if it would’ve escalated any further, she definitely would have called the police on me. I have rented from this location before with no issues no problem. Once this woman comes to the desk, which she walked out The office didn’t know what was going on did not address Everyone in the lobby only addressed the white man and me as an African-American woman I was supposed to be OK with that. No it does not work that way it is 2026 and we are all humans no matter our ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation!!!! We as humans and customers we should be treated with respect and we should be treated as we are valued to walk into this location and spend our hard working money on, but no that Manager was nasty with a modern tone and did not want to help me at all she had a nasty energy and I Felt her nasty spirit and unfortunately, she bought me to her nasty spirit and I matched her nasty energy as I should not have. I originally should’ve walked away, but I turned back around and like a dummy, I allowed this white woman to embarrass me!! I had to pick up my daughter from college and wasting 30 minutes at this enterprise to not even be rented a car and denied all because of a white woman who energy was nasty because she chose to not address everyone in the lobby. She chose to only address the white man.
I wish the location Manager was there Trevon. I feel as if this would not have happened and to the assistant Manager that we did not get to interact. I believe everything that Trevon said about you and thank you for trying to stand up for me and tell that woman that I was next in line not the white man. But even then you would think that the Lady would have said oh I’m sorry may I help you NO she did not even want to acknowledge her mistake and that’s why the interaction went bad from the beginning all because she was the one who made the mistake instead of addressing one person in the lobby she should’ve addressed ALL!!!
No, I will never ever in my life rent at this location again, but I did want to leave this review so any other future customer would know watch yourself going to this location you may have a good experience. You may have a bad experience, but it is not worth your freedom. It is not worth your mental health and it is not worth your sanity to go to this location!!!!!!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION AND STAY AWAY FROM THAT FAKE MANAGER (I am so sorry I did not get her name!!!)
But I was taken care of at another rental car location with no problem and I even used the same credit card that the Enterprise manager tried to decline me of using. That’s how I know she intentionally and purposely was rude to me
