  My experience was quite unique I drove in from Kentucky and noticed that my brakes sounded horrible. My sister and I pulled into Tuffy‘s and they said they could get me in today. This was November 28 when they checked my brakes they checked all four brakes and calipers and said that all four needed to be replaced being a woman I believe them when I got my vehicle they gave me some piece of paper to sign that said it was $476. I had $75 cash $399 in the bank so I run a check and gave them the $75 I had then they had me to initial it. They had tried to give me some kind of a special on all four breaks or all four brakes and rotors it was supposedly another $426 for the other two breaks now looking back on the paper that they gave me after finding my front rotors and calipers were totally metal to metal. I ended up having to put new brakes and calipers on the front of my vehicle now for some reason, the paper said that I deferred from getting the front brakes put on, but what kind of idiot we go into a car place to put brakes on the front and not expect that that’s what got done when they gave me my vehicle back. I didn’t hear any of the squeaking that I had heard before then I drove my vehicle for another 25 to 3000 miles and the front was so bad that I couldn’t make it. I had to stop go back into my house and call someone to come to my house and put brakes and calipers on that was $300 to come to my front door and put on and this was a Service station. This was not a friend a person I knew or anything this was just a Christian man so now because they said they put brakes on the back of my car instead of the front I paid for what most people have enough intelligence to know that the back brakes are rarely used, and the guy that put the front brakes on said that the brakes in the back if they were put on it all was only put on one side so don’t trust people. I know I’m not happy with this service and I would never ever go again.

  Just had my oil changed after at least 3 years and while I was there decided to have the break fluid exchanged. They were very nice and explained everything. They did an entire work up of the car and had pictures to go along with it. They were extremely friendly and they weren’t pushy. I felt like they were reasonably priced. My car needs a ton of work anyway due to the age and lack of use but they explained everything and looked for any discounts. I had a really great experience there and will definitely be going back.

  Honestly I’m just embarrassed for this shop. Coming in, I wanted an oil change and an a/c recharge. They tell me I’m looking at almost $400. I was shocked but I said ok go ahead. (Luckily for me it was more than just a recharge, so how GRACIOUSLY & GENEROUS of them to take that off my bill. phew just $80 for the oil change. ) I was just thinking to myself that’s crazy. Kind of disrespectful really considering a bottle of Freon is $60-70 at Walmart. Stupid me for assuming otherwise or that it would be no biggie since we’re already under the hood. But I especially loved the Predatory upselling at the end when they handed me an estimate for nearly $11k worth of work on my 300ZX, packed to the brim with generic fluid flushes and wildly inflated quotes. $667 to change six spark plugs is absurd, it cost me 23$ for 6 new plugs and 1 hour of my time. $3,943 for a timing belt kit is complete price-gouging. It feels like they saw a girl in an older sports car, and assumed I didn't know anything and tried to maximize their profit. Just a really icky feeling to have while conducting business. Be very careful and double-check their prices elsewhere.

  The team at Tuffy Tire & Auto at Monroe are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and they discovered many other services that would be detrimental to my vehicle if they were not completed soon. Most auto centers will try to upsell for commission, but its clear that at Tuffy they only recommend what is absolutely NEEDED. The team worked with me on pricing for shocks, tires, and an alignment which typically would run $1500. I will 100% be back to Tuffy in Monroe for all my auto services.
