Use to go reguarly but i avoid it now after i did an oil change on my truck which ended up leaking oil all over driveway. Took it back they topped it off but did not fix leak. Took it elsewhere and discovered the drain plug was damaged during reinstall. I would only go here if the guy with the dreads is working that day and on my car. Not sure if hes even working there anymore

I waited for about an hour plus knowing they were super busy I expected the wait. Michael made the entire trip worth it. He was so kind and honest and just an amazing personality. This review is also two weeks after I went so I will remember this great experience.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I feel obligated to warn others. I came in for a full synthetic oil change and told the staff I was leaving that day for a 9-hour drive to Tennessee for my grandmother’s memorial. Because of that, I wanted to make sure my car was in good shape before getting on the road. During my visit, I noticed the manager correcting multiple technicians, and the shop didn’t seem to be running very efficiently. I tried not to think much of it since I was only there for an oil change. As part of the service, they checked my tires and added air. As soon as I left, my tire pressure warning light came on. I immediately turned around and went back. I asked the technician how much air had been put in my tires, and he told me 69 PSI. My Honda’s recommended tire pressure is 32 PSI. I was shocked and asked why they would put that much air in my tires. They assured me they corrected everything and that all four tires were now at 32 PSI. I drove away again, and the warning light was still on. At that point, I didn’t trust the readings, so I stopped at the tire shop directly across the street. They checked my tires and found my front tires were actually at 45 PSI, not the 32 PSI Valvoline had assured me they were. I was about to begin a 9-hour highway drive, and this completely shook my confidence in the work that had been done. I shouldn’t have had to rely on another shop to verify something so basic after already returning once. What has been even more disappointing is the customer service afterward. I have contacted Valvoline customer service multiple times over the past several weeks. The manager, Ryan, offered me a free oil change, but after this experience I have no interest in returning. I requested a refund instead, which I believe is reasonable given what happened. I’ve followed up more than 10 times and have received no response. Mistakes happen, but the lack of accountability afterward has been incredibly frustrating. I cannot recommend this location based on my experience. I hope this review helps someone avoid the same experience I had. If Valvoline would simply stand behind their service and issue a refund, I would gladly update this review to reflect that resolution.

When I first looked up this Valvoline store and saw the 1-star reviews, I thought, "It can't be that bad, right? Those are one-off experiences, surely." I was wrong. I brought my 2012 Toyota Corolla in to have the transmission fluid replaced on 12 Jun. That afternoon, I drove to Asheville to see my parents for the weekend. On Sunday morning, as I went to get in my car to head back towards Raleigh, I noticed a puddle of transmission fluid on the driveway; clearly the bolt had not been replaced correctly after they drained the old fluid. I took my car to another Valvoline shop in the Asheville area and they ended up having to perform the service again to the tune of about $200. In performing the work, they placed comments on the invoice attesting to the fact there was a leak they had to fix. Upon arriving back in Raleigh, I stopped by the store to request a refund and Ryan, the assistant manager (I think that is his position), informed me that because it had been more than about 24 hours, I would need to reach out to Valvoline Customer Care. I did so on 16 Jun and was told I should expect a call back from the store within 48 hours. On 26 Jun I reached out to Customer Care again to inquire as to the status of the claim. They reached out to the store and got Ryan on the phone who said he hadn't heard anything about it and so assumed it had been adequately addressed. I said it hadn't and was told to expect a call back either that afternoon or Monday (28 Jun) at the latest. It is now the afternoon of 30 Jun and I am again waiting for a callback from Customer Care to try and resolve the issue. Based on this, I will definitely think twice about taking my car here, or any Valvoline center for that matter, in the future.
