Our experience with Enterprise completely changed because of Omar at the Wake Forest, NC location. After running into problems with our reservation, Omar stepped in and took ownership of the situation. He went above and beyond by upgrading our reservation and working with us on the price so we could enjoy the trip we had planned. His professionalism, kindness, and genuine desire to help made all the difference. Because of Omar, my wife, Sherylann, our daughter Michelle, and our grandsons were able to enjoy a wonderful family beach vacation. Having the right vehicle meant we could comfortably bring everything we needed and spend our time making memories instead of worrying about transportation. Customer service like this is rare. Omar didn't just rent us a vehicle—he restored our confidence in Enterprise. He is an outstanding representative for the company and deserves to be recognized for the exceptional service he provides. Thank you, Omar, for going the extra mile. You made our trip possible, and we truly appreciate everything you did. We will absolutely return to the Wake Forest Enterprise because of you.

I will never rent from this location again. I have had three reservations with this location within the last two months and all three times have been a disaster. On all three occurrences, they did not have a vehicle in the class that I had reserved. At my first reservation, they attempted to place me in a van. As soon as I sat in it, I could smell cigarette/cigar smoke. I requested to move into a different vehicle. They were able to move me into a small SUV. They acted like they did me a favor by moving me into a small SUV and not up charging me. I didn’t make a big deal out of it because it was my first poor experience with them and I chalked it up to a bad day. A month later I had a reservation for a pick up truck. When I got there, they told me they didn’t have one. I was flexible and told them I’ll take whatever they have. I really had only booked a truck because for some reason the rate was better than an SUV for that weekend. They put me in another small SUV. It had a smell of body odor, cigars and had dirty handprints all over. Since we were in a bind, I just accepted the rental and when I got home, I wiped down the entire interior. The body odor smell was so bad that every time we turned on the air, we would get a blast of body odor smacking us in the face. I even went to the lengths to put dryer sheets in front of our vents. Today, this location really did me dirty. I have had a reservation for a truck for over a month now. My grandfather recently passed and I reserved this truck to be able to drive up to his home and collect some of his old belongings and some of my belongings he had. When I dropped off my other rental earlier this month, I asked the representative how their inventory is mid week and had explained that I’ve had two recent occurrences with them where they didn’t have the vehicle I reserved. He told me that inventory is usually pretty good. I explained to him that for this reservation I definitely needed a truck. He assured me I wouldn’t have any issues. My husband called up there this week and reiterated that this time we absolutely needed a truck or a van. He told them that if they didn’t have it to call us to let us know in advance. The woman he spoke to assured him they would have a truck or a van. At 5pm today, exactly 1 hour before I am to pick up the rental, I get a phone call from the branch. Xavier proceeds to tell me that they don’t have a truck or van and can give me a five seater SUV. When asked if he could pull a vehicle from another branch, he tells me that all inventory is tight area wide. Then he recommends for me to contact the Enterprise at RDU. My husband and I end up going up to the branch to speak to him in person. As I’m walking up, I see three employees hanging out by a van. The door of the van was wide open and one of the employees was practically standing in the van, smoking. I counted five vans and two pick up trucks as I walked up to the entry. I asked Xavier why we couldn’t have one of those vehicles and he told me that all of them are being recalled for safety reasons. I understand that there may be processes that are in place that hinder this staff from hitting on an “all five” customer experience. But cleanliness, communication and empathy are all things that are within a team’s control. I feel that there is a real lack of care that is coming from this branch. This team will certainly compensate you for your inconvenience, but I believe they are so accustom to doing this that they don’t take the steps to solve the root cause. Area and regional leadership need to get involved and provide additional support and training. I am curious to know if their staff drives their inventory even when they are turning customers away. Either way, I plan to work with their regional manager to solve my immediate issue and then will never return to this branch.

I reserved a car on June 15th for pickup on June 19th, received a call 30 minutes before pickup that no cars were available. When will it be available? "We're not sure..., hoping this afternoon." Later that day I called and it rang through to corporate in Texas, a nice lady asked me if we had escalated the issue - I didn't know about that. She escalated, gave me a reference number and told me someone would contact me that day. it's been almost a week and no one has called from local or corporate. I have had great experience at that Knightdale location but this incident is strikes one and two on them and Enterprise....

The staff were friendly, but the actual car and service were not good. I arrived at my scheduled pick up time for the car to not be ready because “it was being detailed.” I get the car 30 minutes later to find the windows were filthy on the outside and inside. There were food crumbs in the back floorboard, a water bottle and receipts in the console, and an empty snack bag in the trunk. The car itself smelled like cigarettes and weed (which got much worse when the car got hit from parking in the heat of the day). I actually had to clean the car before I left for our vacation. Still didn’t help the smell though. I used the windshield washer on my way to my house and the low fluid light immediately came on and I didn’t make it out of Raleigh the next morning before the change oil service light came on. Although the staff was very friendly, the product matters just as much. For now on, I will just make the trip to the airport where there are more choices. I’ve traveled extensively over the years for work and this was by far the worst rental experience I have ever had.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I reserved a midsize sedan for pickup at 1:00 PM and was assured that a vehicle within my insurance company’s approved daily rate would be available when I brought my vehicle in for body repairs. When I arrived, I was told there were no midsize sedans available and was instead given a Mitsubishi Mirage. The Mirage is extremely small for my family. I have two sons, and the back seat is so cramped that they can barely fit comfortably. Beyond the size issue, the vehicle itself was in poor condition. The brakes squeal, the engine struggles and nearly stalls while idling with the A/C running, the exterior windows and mirrors were dirty enough that I had to wash them myself to improve visibility, and the car was missing a hubcap. What was most concerning is that no standard vehicle condition inspection was completed or reviewed with me at pickup. Given the condition of the vehicle, that omission was disappointing. When I raised these concerns, I was told that I could call other Enterprise locations myself to try to find a different vehicle. After spending time doing exactly that, I still feel this should not have been my responsibility. The reservation issue originated with this location, and I should not have been tasked with finding a suitable replacement vehicle. My own vehicle was still drivable, and had I known a comparable rental would not be available, I could have postponed my repair appointment until one was. Instead, I was left with a vehicle that was significantly smaller than what was reserved and in a condition that should never have been presented to a customer. My expectation was simple: provide the vehicle class that was reserved, ensure it is clean and in safe operating condition, and stand behind the reservation when issues arise. None of those expectations were met. I understand that inventory challenges happen, but poor communication, a substandard vehicle, and shifting the responsibility to the customer to solve the problem is not acceptable customer service. Based on this experience, I would not rent from this location again and cannot recommend it to others.
