- DADJ AUDIOMINDMay 18, 20262.0I have worked on and maintained my vehicles for decades and have fair knowledge in vehicle repair, so rarely go to auto shops. Came into the shop for the first time after throwing a bunch of parts at my truck in an attempt to fix an issue plaguing me. Narrowed it down to the transmission, a manifold leak or possibly bad fuel injector(s). After a day of diagnosing, the guys came back that they are certain it's an engine mount that had gone bad. $800+ later, after assuring me that this was the problem, come to find out it wasn't. I feel that this was a shady bait and switch move, regardless if it may have been needed or not(?). Further, after checking around the cost was on the high end compared to surrounding shops. My main problem, come to find out, was that I had a bad torque converter, which should have been what was first tackled. Won't be back after also learning about my daughter being far overcharged for a simple repair as well. Added one star because at least they were nice while taking my $800 for a nonurgent secondary issue that was not of much concern.
